Not sure what the crowd reaction was for...

Those were the expected spec bumps and little more.

"It's 30% faster than our last generation"... Yeah... which launched when again?

Sheesh...

And please tell me closing up, confining more and more isn't the main Pro desktop strategy.

I know they hinted at a true desktop, however seeing how this iMac with Xeon comes in at base 5k dollars this puts Mac Pro pricing in a VERY weird spot.

And so Apple killed the whole Mac Pro line with one fell swoop, and replaced it with a souped iMac.

They killed it, threw away its soul, and turned its body into a jukebox.

Damn you.

So they made the 13" MBP without TB cheaper by introducing a 128 GB version? Sounds funny.

By the way: 15" MBP got a price increase in €

Omg I totally missed that. So now its the same as the 2015 MBP, with a slightly faster interior (although CPU clocked lower) and thinner and less ports?! Seriously...

Am interested in these, nice updates Apple! Love that they took base storage to 64GB, buying up on storage isn't a "have to do" now.

Ended up ordering the new 10.5" 256gb WiFi Space gray iPad pro and charcoal smart cover. Hope to eventually get something to protect the back.

Ordered:
  • 10.5" iPad Pro, 256GB, Cellular
  • Apple Pencil
  • Black Leather Smart Case
I wish they would come out with an iPad Pro keyboard that is also a case that covers the entire back.

Updated: New 15inches have updated GPUs to 555 and 560. Base configuration is configured with the 555 and the top configuration to the 560. No 550. Each configuration is 100 dollar cheaper in the US compared to the same level in the last generation.

For the first time, there are dedicated graphics options for the 21.5-inch iMac, which has been limited to integrated graphics in the past.
https://support.apple.com/kb/SP623 AMD 67x0M with 7200rpm HDD by default.

Yes, true! The 2011 iMac has better Specs than the 2017 model... Sells for 550 bucks on ebay -that's literally half of what apple charges for the "new" model.

Seriously Apple?

And just more steps that close the gap between macOS and iOS, iPads eventually replacing iMacs, with macOS very slowly dying out.

I know it's super early...but does anyone have an estimate on the performance difference between the Radeon Pro 460 vs Radeon Pro 560?

"imac pro".. another fail product. There is no true "pro" implementation with compact design, needs to be upgradable! Pros need to upgrade / change everything. Haven't you learned your lesson with the failure called mac pro 2013? It's not all about style, I'm still using two 9-year-old mac pros, with Nvidias just for their CUDA, which your "future" Imac pro won't support..

They are brand new. The previous were 450/455/460. I'm a little bit pissed off. They should've held off releasing the MacBooks until now. There's not much info out there but it sucks being stuck with a 455 or 460 if the new chips offer a significant improvement. Kaby Lake really doesn't bother me.
