I have a 10.5 256GB and 12.9" 64GB sitting in my bag, very, very temped to pull the trigger. Just not sure how well it would go over with the wife.

https://support.apple.com/kb/SP623 AMD 67x0M with 7200rpm HDD by default.

Yes, true! The 2011 iMac has better Specs than the 2017 model... Sells for 550 bucks on ebay -that's literally half of what apple charges for the "new" model.

Seriously Apple?
I was just thinking, if this is the first 21.5 iMac with discrete graphics - what's my 2011 21.5 iMac w/ 6770M classed as? Which is still doing a fantastic job for my own needs.

Looks like the Macbook Air will continue to use Broadwell processors based on the use of HD 6000 graphics. This 200mhz bump is the most minimal update I've seen.

So they made the 13" MBP without TB cheaper by introducing a 128 GB version? Sounds funny.

Yeah, and I think I understand why: they dropped the 2015 13" MBP, that they left with a 128 GB option at the last update. The 15" is still there, but not the 13"... So they felt they should still offer something with a "pro" label on it, and at that price, so they dropped it to 128 GB...

I know it's super early...but does anyone have an estimate on the performance difference between the Radeon Pro 460 vs Radeon Pro 560?
Possibly, less than 5%. As you see no big difference between RX580 and RX480. Probably more energy efficient

Sorry for the dumb question but I haven't seen it mentioned.
Will the 12.9 get the same bezel reduction or is it the same form factor as the current 12.9 Pro?

I'm typing on a 15"2012 rMBP. It's too small.

When Apple makes a 17"- or larger - I've got some money for them. Until then I'll buy an Intel Nuc 7 and load Sierra onto that. It will look great on my 55"Samsung 4K.

Where'd they put it this time? Maybe they're saving some for the iMac Pro.

Base 21.5" and Base 21.5" 4K still come standard with the 5400 spinner. Nothing larger then a 1 TB Fusion drive available in any 21.5" iMac now. It looks like they really want people to buy the 27" model.

I'd say the standard HHD isn't a huge deal, but considering that's the model that will show up in retail stores they will still be selling a big chunk of new iMacs with that old spinner.

So to sum up:
  • iMac upgrades look nice.
  • Mini gets no love
  • No real Pro (sorry, a non-upgradable, non-repairable, thermally risky all-in-one isn't going to cut it...and can't rack mount it)
  • iPad Pro decent incremental upgrade if you're still using an original air or earlier...though USB 3 by itself might be worth an upgrade, so when Apple Support tells you to rebuild from scratch as the first troubleshooting step it doesn't take 8 hours
  • iOS 11 mostly about the iPad
  • MacOS High Sierra about plumbing (hopefully bug fixes)
  • I hope to heck that Siri got a brain upgrade and not just a facelift
  • Monographic sound...where's my RCA Victrola. Wonder if it'll only work with streaming content or play local stuff too
