Completed order for Iphone 11 Pro Max, 512, green in 2 minutes for 9/20 delivery. Boom. :) Taking care of your upgrade eligibility in advance really helps. My Bella Fino case from Pad&Quill case comes the week of Oct 6.

First time in several years I did not pro-order the latest iPhone in the opening minutes. I've gone back and forth a couple times already about upgrading this year so I will be visiting Verizon next Friday to see them in person, listen to the audio improvements, see the brighter screen and play with the new cameras. I won't make my final decision about upgrading my phone until I've held it in my hand. Definitely keeping my AW S4 for another year. The always on display is nice feature but not enough to get me to upgrade.

Was very quick. Had all the pre-approval done the other day on the IUP. Gray Pro Max 512 gb.

And I just checked, I do have my confirmation email about processing the order.

There was no special instructions for members of the iPhone upgrade program. I listed my phone as trade-in, but I don't think that was correct. Anyone know what the proper way to have preordered was?

Delivery on 19th hmmm

Has anyone received their receipt via email yet?
yes, for both phones I ordered ... but took an hour or so until I got them.

go through the Apple Store app on your phone - it will prompt you for the upgrade

I just slept. And it was not even night here. Even if I was awake I wouldn't bother buying an iPhone. (But maybe I would have liked to buy something else from the Store, who knows).

I think this year was all about the camera, as they left the rest of the phone mostly untouched. But it seems next year will address the phone the, so 2020 could be actual "innovation".

Mostly untouched? LOL
  1. New CPU
  2. Larger battery
  3. Longer battery life
  4. 802.11AX
  5. Faster LTE
  6. Better, brighter screen for HDR content
  7. Dedicated spatial awareness/ultra wideband chip “U1”
  8. IP68 water resistance
  9. 12MP TrueDepth/FaceTime HD camera
  10. Spatial audio playback
  11. Night mode

Are people really pre-ordering this?
It's not a revolutionary new whatever
Just because you have last year's model, doesn't mean everyone else does.

... IP68 water resistance ...
The newly improved "4 meters for 30 minutes" water rating for the 11 Pro caught my eye - this means it could sit at the bottom of the deep end of basically any pool for an extended time. Kinda crazy. Also, night mode looks awesome.

But then there seems to be a large contingent here that doesn't like anything Apple does, and just look for reasons to complain.

Apple did a great job this year with servers handling the load as well as supply.

The latest iPhone line-up has nothing for me that would justify upgrading from my current iPhone 8 Plus.

Same. We get to keep Touch ID and 3D Touch. Everybody else lost. We win. High five. I put a mophie juice pack case on my 8+ and the battery lasts forever.

I have the Xs Max and upgraded. I can pay for the phone out of pocket, thru NEXT or IUP.
After working in an Apple Store I will always do the IUP and cut out the carrier.

Every year we hear the same thing, not much of an upgrade, the notch, the bump. To me the phone is a toy and I enjoy playing with the latest.

Work provides an S9 which has been fun too.

14.00 was a great time for me ;) 5 am would suck ;) ordered the dark green pro max... yay, but almost looking forward more to the watch.

Since the top floor at spaceship Apple is a (very rich) geriatric ward, changing from late night to early morning doesn't surprise me much.

I haven't received my email order confirmation. I ordered at 5am Pacific, got Sept 20th delivery. I have an order number from a PDF I saved of the order confirmation from apple.com, and my credit card has been charged. I was asked to sign in to my iCloud account before I purchased, but I don't think that should have made any difference. Has anyone else experienced this? Overall I guess I'm not too concerned because my card was charged. Hmmm...

Space grey or the new green arghhh

I think it’s just iOS 13 giving it 30% faster

I don’t think so because it’s advertised on the new iPhone page. If it were iOS 13 that improved the Face ID speeds it should be advised on the iOS 13 page as well as the other iPhones with Face ID pages. But because this is only on the iPhone 11 page it lead me to believe there’s some improvement with the Face ID system they didn’t bother to mention during the keynote. Things like that and WiFi 6 support etc.

Generally i would take this year off and wait until there was a more significant reason to upgrade, but my iPhone Xs Max has been having some issues with the screen just locking up or sometimes acts like it is off (just stays off and blacks out) and i have to do a hard reboot (which works occasionally). I have sent it into apple and had a new phone sent out, and this one is doing it as well (after about 4-5 months of having it). Started from a new Install (without the backup) and still same thing over time.. So purchased the new 11 Pro Max hoping that whatever issues I was having were only isolated to the Xs max line. BUT i have many friends and colleagues who have the Xs Max and have had NO ISSUES, so maybe i just got two duds... Anyhow waiting for the new one to come in on the 20th. Hopefully no issues with it.

I feel the product release this year for Apple hasn't had the luster it usually does. Generally i am excited to purchase the newest and latest gear but this time it was mixed feelings. My purchase decision was not for the reasons i normally purchase from apple. So will wait and see what they do next. However the 1 year intro to arcade and apple TV+ was nice.
