Says who, the rumor mills? Quite a bit of features were rumored for this years iPhone and most didn’t come true. I would expect the same to happen for next years iPhones. I don’t understand why people get hyped up over rumors then blame Apple for not following through when they NEVER even promised features to begin with.

Apple didn’t play nice with Qualcomm for nothing.

I cant afford the phone today but after the first of the month i should be able to..Im still debating on when to get it. I'm in dire need of an Ipad, and i keep going back and forth between trading in my xs max 256 gig and getting a smaller pro, or getting an ipad mini 5 fully specked out and maybe by the end of the year if they come out get a updated pro, then first of the year if the trade in value holds get the 11 pro and maybe the watch... still debating on what order i want to do it, but im considering going with the smaller phone because as much as i love my max, it is too big to use comfortably for a long time...

what are your thoughts?

Do you absolutely NEED a new phone? It would seem you have a very capable new phone already.

Would you rather have two devices, or one only?

When money is an issue, upgrade periodically.
Annual smartphone upgrades are very expensive ... for little gain.

Apple charges a premium for storage upgrades. In my family we have purchased maxed out devices before, only to then not need / use all that storage on our devices, and seeing product updates 6-12-24 months later that are very significant down to even blowing the maxed out product out of the water.

Spend wisely.

but you get to live in Hawaii so you will be fine!

OT
Hawaii isn't the Paradise people think it is, there's are far more beautiful places, but yeah, there's also far worse places so I guess you've got a point.

IMHO this is only worth the Upgrade (Or new to Apple) if you're coming from an iPhone 7 or earlier, the speed is much better, except for that there are no reasons for upgrading except for having the latest and/or plenty disposable money.

Face ID is currently faster than Touch ID. Also this new iPhone Face ID is 30% faster and about the notch, it’s like your nose, you don’t notice it unless you think about it.

Yes FaceID isn’t faster if activating it at the same time, however for me the entire process of unlocking the phone is faster with TouchID because you can unlock it while picking it up (or pulling it out of your pocket or purse) long before it ever needs to see your face.

Dunno man. I think Hawaii is an awfully beautiful place, even inland on the big island away from tourists. I guess we all just get used to the surroundings we live in.

Did you get the Pro Max or the Pro? I got my Pro Max on ATT to and when I check the order number it says I got the Pro instead.

Nice process. I even used the Hey Siri option. 256 gig midnight green Pro. Friday delivery. I’m on the upgrade program so it was a no-brainer change of phones for the same payment.
