I am too, but at least it is mine and not her's since she doesn't want to upgrade as often as I "need" to. Truly though I take 98% of the photos and videos when we do stuff so cameras are important.
Do I already let anyone with a pre-order pay? or what to do

The blue is a similar color used in the 12 so I could see the natural titanium selling first.

Yea it's the new colour really, I did like the blue but when I saw the natural titanium I just knew I wanted to get that one.

Got a pragmatic question: what is the difference between cameras of 14 Pro and 15 Pro?
Hardware seems to be the same.
Some software improvements, some improvements due to the new processor.
But overall the three lenses hardware wise in den Pro (non max!) are the same as last years 14 pro.

6 mins late Apple, I’m switching to android forever!!! </sarcasm> (I’m also in Spain, I know it’s not due for an hour lol)

I will do the switch from a 13 Pro (Sierra Blue ❤️) to a 15 Pro (Blue).
Will miss the Sierra blue color but looking forward to USB C and the always on display.

I wanted to get natural titanium, but I use Pitaka cases, which have little bits of the phone revealed around the edges. I think it would look a little weird with a black case, so I think I'll go black 256gb to replace my midnight 13 Mini. Goodbye my little friend....

It's 2023. Every tech company worth their salt has auto-scaling architecture where servers increase automatically to handle increased load. Also, online shopping is a low compute task. You don't need much hardware to handle many users.

If it is automatic how do you explain that every year people complain that they are unable to place their orders at opening time, some having to wait as much 20-30 minutes before the app/website allows then to place an order. There have been a number of news reports about order systems crashing due to huge increases in volumes.

Update: as expected at 5:08 am some have been able to place orders (mine at 5:06), others are still waiting for order access.

I decided on pro instead of pro max. Coming from 11 pro. I wanted the bigger screen but I like 1 handed use. I’m hoping the jump to 6.1” is sufficient.

This feels like the pg version of Black Friday. The store is closed and everyone is anxiously on their phones ready to burst through the door cybernetically. At least no one will be pushed over and stomped on. It’s safer but still chaotic.

MR editors need to design a ready made script for such a article because every time a new iphone is released Apple pre-order website goes down and then we see the same posts year after year of the same complaints about not being able to pre-order and this has happened year after year after year.
The countdown should be for “the apple store goes down”. And then a new countdown starts for “when the apple store reopens”.

I assume that they have to do a lot of reconfiguration of servers in order to handle the huge volume of orders which hits when ordering opens. People complain when they can't get their order in at 5 am. Delays can run 20 minutes or more. Vaguely remember that they set up a special crisis center to stage the rollout. It seems that they don't enable ordering everywhere from all partners at the same time. Looked as if they enable some ordering channel, evaluate the load, and then enable others as capacity is available. Not only do they have to worry about their servers but they also have to handle the orders from 3rd party carriers. I would think that increasing server capabilities by (10x?) times is a complicated task.
It's 2023. It was embarsassing for many years now. No, it's not a complicated task at all. Even if they prelaunch the extra capacity, it shouldn't be more than a couple of clicks. Either the most valuable technology company in the world lags 5-10 years behind everyone else, or the poor IT guys are tearing out their hair because marketing forces this bulls**t on them.

Either it's artificial to build hype, or Tim being cheap, again.
