Apple Store Down Ahead of iPhone 15 Pre-Orders

Just got in and placed order. Store is slow. Wife's preorder disappeared. So same shenanigans as always.
Looks like order may not have gone through since it shows nowhere. I predict lots of double orders.
Edit: I got the email confirmation however my wife got totally skunked. She is clicking the link from the calendar appointment and the pre order is missing and the site won't allow redo.
What good is preorder if they loose it?
Edit 2: Her preorder showed back up but was to deliver mid-Oct. She opted for in-store and will still get the white on launch day. All order details are finally showing in account.

I am checking on 2 Macs, and the AppleStore App on one iPad and one iPhone - and it is still down 2:12pm
Patience is a virtue. Done. My 15 Pro max 512GB White will take its' place "BY MY SIDE". Good...Good....as I have foreseen....
It was up at 13:01 and I got my order in. Was refreshing on iPad and iPhone with the link from my pre-preorder email. It let in on my iPad and then ordered immediately through ApplePay. Then I seen the store is down on my iPhone and iPad. Hopefully my order stands!

Finally let me in at 8:09 a.m. EDT. Had to sign in again - despite already being signed in - and my pre-order was there. Natural Ti 15 Pro with 256GB. Sept. 22 delivery.
I'm actually still not sure I'm going to keep it and may still cancel. I've been on an every other year upgrade cycle but not unhappy with my 13 Pro and unchuffed about the upgrade . . . except that my battery is now 89% max and barely lasting a full working day at this point and don't think I can live with it until the 16 comes out in 12 months.

now came but doesn't allow give back the older iphone. says service not available. what a crap.
Been in an error loop with the Apple Store app for several minutes now...
