I can’t for the life of me figure out why they need 5 hours to update their store for a few new products. Or why they have to take down their entire store, preventing the ability to buy anything else.
Or do basically anything else, like tracking a shipment/order status or initiating a return. Imagine Amazon being down for hours every now and then just because.

Just be patient - out of the 365 days that the Apple Store is online and available for your perusal, Apple decides to bring down the store only 1 day each year (consistently) for their newest iPhone launch. Stop complaining and just be patient, it will be back up in no time.
It’s an observation, not a complaint. I’m in the process of deciding on a product to buy that has nothing to do with the new products. Seems like overkill to dump the entire site, but I guess that’s Apple for you.

The store front is just a part of the process. They have to prepare the whole supply chain for the surge. It's a pretty major operation.

No one sees this simply because they just don't talk about it.

It’s just a marketing ploy dude. You know, so ppl get the FOMO,..there is no rush to order anything. I don’t know why ppl fall for this year after year.

Upgrading my Deep Purple 14 Pro to a Deep Blue 17 Pro. Don’t love the Pro colours this year (hate the orange!) so I’m going with the least offensive. Already set up for pre-ordering, all approved and ready to go ;)

None of the offers this year is compelling for me.
16pMax - I don’t like the 17 pro max at all - waiting for a fold which I believe will be like 2 iphone Air

Apple watch ultra 2 - no reason to update to 3

Airpods pro 2 - maybe but I don’t feel these v2 are in a need for my use case

I suppose it makes more people forcefully aware of new products no matter how you get into the website (straight link to a product eg) and also I suppose it hypes the preordering experience so people that might change his mind won’t do because they’re excited to be the first ones to preorder

To buy or not to buy, that is the question.

I'm tempted to upgrade my 15 pro (but I don't need to), and also get one for my partner to upgrade her 14 pro (that, strictly speaking, with 79% battery health, is due for an upgrade of sorts).

But both of us could just as well wait another year...

Oh, decisions, decisions... :p

It's funny - If I ever want to see a full-on anti-Apple attitude and people moaning about whatever Apple are releasing next, I won't have to go to an android-oriented site, I'll just come to Macrumors.

Literally every single blog post on this site is followed up with a stream of comments moaning about whatever was posted. I honestly can't understand why a lot of you hang around here.

FWIW I'll be getting a 256gb 17 Pro this year, upgrading from a 13 Pro, and this is the first year I've seen an upgrade worth having. Looking forward to better battery life and a better telephoto camera :)

I will upgrade from an iPhone 12 256GB to a 17 Pro 512GB. I have never keep a phone that long.
Somehow they managed to make me want an extra year after seeing 16 series. Don't wanted to pay a premium for something not available after a long time (I'm in EU Apple intelligence was delayed by an extra 6 months or so) with very shy hardware upgrades.

Base model 17 is stellar but vapor chamber and more importantly 12GB RAM looks amazing for long term use

Looks like there’s some good trade-in values for my iPhone 14 Pro, unfortunately there’s not many good plans for a single line.📱💰

Came into work early to get ready for pre-orders.

Pre-order, then you've got another week to make your mind up whilst still keeping your options open.

it’s almost time! finally a design change.
