Apple Store Down Ahead of iPhone 4 Pre-Orders

Actually, just the other day I was playing with a friend's phone, which has a normal keyboard, and I found it harder to use than the keyboard on the iPhone.

Once you get used to a soft tap, a full button press just seems time consuming.

Also, I resent that you called my iPhone showy. Hell, all the cracks on the back ain't nothin' to show!
 
I wanna sleep tonight and wake up calmly in the morning to pre-order but there is no chance. I'm so anxious I couldn't sleep if I tried :( I'm mainly worried about being able to get 3 phones (2 upgrades and one new line) all pre-ordered and shipped to an address that differs from my billing address. I'm worried because of all the negative things I've read today (no whites on launch, 1 per person, 1 per household, etc) I just don't know hat to believe.

Anyone have any drugs? Valium or something? Zanex? LOL
 
And the wait continues...

Has anyone gone through Gazelle for selling their iPhone? Mine is in fairly good shape and I would rather not go though the hassle of selling it privately.

Eeek. Good luck, that's a lot of phones to the same address. Definitely order on different Apple accounts if possible. And if you could split the shipments up to 2 addresses, that would definitely be a good idea.
 
im gonna give my sister my old 3g because shes cracked her screen on two different screens even though i know she will most likely crack this one too.
 
Forgive my ignorance, but if you pre-order it, either from Apple or AT&T. Do they ship it to your home?

I thought there were no more home activations?

I picked up my last 2 iphones in store, so I am not familiar with pre-ordering :)

yeah. its pretty straightforward and simple. I got mine quoted on july 8th and it was for $270. they honor it for 30 days. I think their offering price has significantly dropped since then though.

3GS shipped to home and activation ran through iTunes.

I find myself increasingly more interested in this forum then pushing refresh on the apple website. Stop being so interesting.

When there are large events like this (iPhone preorders, WWDC, etc etc) you should put a link right on the main page to a live chat event. That way we can get the chatter out of the forums and on a quicker pace.

Just a suggestion.

For some reason the AUS Apple store is also down... We're not part of the few countries in the first batch of releases either... (Due "late july")
