Apple Store Down Ahead of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus Pre-Orders

The 4.7" is a bit big, but the 5.5" is crazy big. So its' the 4.7.

For the watch, it's the opposite. I wanted the smaller one cause I think they are both pretty big even though I'm a six footer, but I'm getting the bigger one because it follows that it will have a bigger battery, and that's very important.

obligatory gif of excitement.

I went to T-Mobile today to set up an account in preparation for an iPhone 6+ 64GB. Only had a $50 deposit, so I was told that in order to do their non-contract option, I'd need to pay half the retail price of the phone (which I assume is $425). Is that correct? And if so, do I order from Apple.com at 12:01am PST or from T-Mobile? Gonna have both sites open, so we'll see :)

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm prepaid though. :/

Nah, but his trolling is getting worse and worse. The "fanboy gone too far" act was working for some time, but now it's just falling flat.

I'm amazed it's tolerated. I have a pretty good idea what would happen if you did the same only with anti Apple posts.

No, you have to get the phone through the TMobile store. As far as I know Apple doesnt offer the payoff option on their website or stores. You have to pay full price for the phone which is what I am doing. Chances of you getting a phone from TMobile at launch will be 50/50, because the last launch they had about 40 phones total which were sold within hours.

My Verizon contact is up on October 7. Verizon is telling I'm unable to upgrade until October 7, which is less than 3 weeks from September 19. They stated it's their contact with Apple. I often find that Verizon doesn't know what they are talking about when it comes to Apple/iPhones. Anyone else having this problem?Maybe I'm crazy but I'm thinking it would be a different story if it was over a month or over 6 weeks.

Cheers--

It's a funny thing with my account as well. It originally said I had an upgrade eligible on the 18th of this month. I go to check it when they announced the new phones and what do you know it now shows the 4th of this month. Hey I can complain.

So with the trade in value for my 5s being at $300, could I trade up to the plus "for free"? For the sake of this question, let's pretend I have less than $50 in the bank. Could I get away with that? I know there are taxes etc. wondering at the actual hit on my debit card

If you have less than $50 in your account you should not be buying an iPhone 6 :p

You cannot get the iPhone 6 tonight.

T Mobile unlocked

How would the half down work for T Mobile? I assumed that I would have to pay the full amount. Before the Apple store went down just now it seemed that if you chose T Mobile you could only select unlocked and pay full price. Not sure how it all works though. I really would prefer to add a second line to my existing AT&T account but I don't want to lose unlimited data that's grandfathered in and I just got a 5s last year (at 3:01 AM). I guess you can pay half because you set up your account with T Mobil already.

I'm sorry for being excited about an Apple product on an Apple forum. I know it's pretty disgusting for me to enjoy using the products I purchase, admire the company, etc. and share that joy with others who feel the same.

I really don't know why the staff here would tolerate someone like me on a site about Apple. I mean I must cause so much trouble for them trying to provoke other Apple fans to... errr..... hmmm.

That's common sense. I can imagine what would happen if I went to Target yelling pro Wal-Mart things as opposed to going to Target and ranting about how great it is.

He paid $50 down to open an account based on his credit rating. Half down for the iPhone is based on credit rating as well, and the rest gets broken down into 24 months worth of payments + plan cost.

Question, perhaps a dumb one. Will an unlocked iPhone 6 work on the Virgin network? Doesn't it have both GSM and CDMA inside?

If not, then I have to decide whether to wait a few months for Virgin to get it, or I could go with T Mobile no contract

or I could get sucked into a 2 yr contract with Sprint

or I could get an Android phone... Wait, scratch that last one
