I was on the App store app earlier and one the iphone 6 purchase page saw no option to buy on Tmobile from the app...

is the only way to buy tmobile unlocked on the tmobile website? or can we expect to buy i6 from apple.com and the app also?

That's common sense. I can imagine what would happen if I went to Target yelling pro Wal-Mart things as opposed to going to Target and ranting about how great it is.

Actually it makes no sense. Check out the TOS for the forum.

So, just to clarify for a third time. Preordering for in-store pickup will reserve me an iPhone on the 19th at an apple store, at 8AM?

I was planning on going early for the experience while I'm still stupid and young enough to wait in the line, but I don't see why I couldn't just come later and get a little experience and also a little sleep, and know for a fact that my specific iPhone will be in there.

Any thoughts? I chatted with a website chat lady, and she seemed to be pretty adamant about it being there for 8AM pickup, but she was just a website chat lady, so I'm not sure how trusted she is.

Did anyone call an apple store after this article was released for clarification?

I am so happy my wife will pass this upgrade till next year and now I can get the iPhone+ @ 128Gb :D...and I will trow in a dark Brown leather case just for fun

Is there a set number of preorders and once they're gone they're gone or does it just keep pushing back the ship date? Like say if order tomorrow after work will I still be guaranteed a phone even if it doesn't arrive until after the 19th?

LOL. This is my first iPhone pre-order and I'm actually nervous because I don't know what to expect.

Just have a tab and the app open, and don't be too nervous when you can't get in right away. Millions are trying to access the site, so I can almost guarantee it'll crash lol. Otherwise, it's a pretty straight forward process. :)

They'll keep taking orders and pushing the date back. They'll usually give you an estimated date at the time ordering once the allocation has been exhausted for delivery on the 19th. So yeah you can pre-order anytime until the device launches, but the later you order the later you'll get it obviously.

AT&T's website is down as well. They have a counter running when you check eligibility. I have to go through AT&T's website rather than Apple because I have to share an upgrade when I order. I really wish Apple would allow that on their site.

Oh well...in a couple of hours I will have an iPhone 6 + 128 GB on order!!!!!

How would the half down work for T Mobile? I assumed that I would have to pay the full amount. Before the Apple store went down just now it seemed that if you chose T Mobile you could only select unlocked and pay full price. Not sure how it all works though. I really would prefer to add a second line to my existing AT&T account but I don't want to lose unlimited data that's grandfathered in and I just got a 5s last year (at 3:01 AM). I guess you can pay half because you set up your account with T Mobil already.

The rep today told me that you would pay half of whatever it retails for. You won't be charged until the phone ships. In addition, you'd pay a prorated amount of the remainder (about $35/mo, I think) till it's paid off but you can pay the rest off at any time. It's not a contract and there'd be no penalties for canceling once it's paid in full.

Thanks so much!

That is easy. If you get the 6 you will have mixed feelings (perhaps some regret) about not going for the 6+ and it's extra features. If you get the 6+ you won't have regrets going for the smaller model as the 6+ is as good as it gets.

I would regret getting the 6+ every time I dropped it on my face while using it in bed.

What about cases, anyone have one picked out, on order?:apple:

Not to put the fear of god in you, but I remember seeing somewhere during the iPhone 5 pre-order craze something about ordering accessories with your phone could delay delivery. I could be wrong though.

I preordered the 5, was there when they opened it at midnight (3 AM by me). Had a problem and had to wait until morning to complete my order. By then they pushed back my shipping date from whatever the release date was to "two to three weeks". So, you will be able to preorder it to guarantee a purchase, but it may be for a few weeks out depending on when you actually get around to ordering.

Tmobile - upgrade

Don't forget if you have T-Mobile you can pre-order directly from their website and you may even be able to use their online Jump program.

Question, perhaps a dumb one. Will an unlocked iPhone 6 work on the Virgin network? Doesn't it have both GSM and CDMA inside?

If not, then I have to decide whether to wait a few months for Virgin to get it, or I could go with T Mobile no contract

or I could get sucked into a 2 yr contract with Sprint

or I could get an Android phone... Wait, scratch that last one

Looking at the specs page, it looks like the iPhone 6 might be separate while the iPhone 6 Plus is a "world phone."

Take a look: http://www.apple.com/iphone-6/specs/
