So Apple charges $575 dollars for 1gig of ram. Did you guys see this. In the MBP to go from 2gig to 3gig of ram is $575!!!!

Its because it still only has 2 ram slots so needs to use 1 hideously expensive 2gb ram stick in there.

I just want the MB to be upgraded ASAP. I dont really care about the MBp.

Is not there Now I have to choose from a 24" iMac With 2.33ghz, or a stock macbook pro 15.4 2.33ghz..

Get the iMac. (Unless you want a computer you can comfortably lift for more than 20 seconds...) It's a really fantastic machine - the display is great, the speakers are very good for built-in ones, and it definitely wows people the most.

So...I ordered mine. Just the standard 2.16 Ghz with 1 Gb RAM, but that's the same config as my 24" iMac. Works like a charm and the MBP should be in pretty soon I hope.
