Is that a complaint already?

No, not at all - I just got my refurb so saved £300 and am wondering if it is worth trying to get a refund on to get the C2D version. Cant make up my mind if it is worth losing the £300 I saved.

I hope people are happy now. :)
I'm not happy (either), they interrupted my throwing-money-away experience just to introduce another very desirable product that I can't afford :(

I want those iPhones, damnit. I can only survive on Windows Mobile for so much longer before it makes me go crazy :(

That top end 15" looks mighty tempting. Dual-layer Superdrive, FW800 and 2GB RAM as standard, and 256MB VRAM in the graphics card.

Nice.

Hehe...the inevitable excitement starts up again!!

Hmmm...the usual thinking has already been said...better be good!

All I can say is that if these Meroms don't appear I'm going to pull my hair out!

FW800 and a dual-layer burner on the 15"? They addressed my two complaints with that machine. Not that I'm going to buy one... got my heart set on a Spring '07 Mac Pro. But still.

Lol, alright I was just waiting for the inevitable.

I find the 200gb 4200rpm drive interesting.

Damn right man.... I cant wait till January

So if I ordered a new mbp last friday, does that mean they shipped me the old one? I don't have a tracking number (it was over the phone and I didn't write anything down), so I don't know if they actually shipped it yet. Let's hope they're sending me the new one!

damn, I'm waiting for santa rosa, but I gotta say that the 1,999 model looks really good....

edit: the apple store is up again

Apple UK, sssooooooo slow, first offline, and last to come back up, as always.

Get used to it.

Apple have slipped back in to that old PPC era routine of older outdated hardware at rather expensive prices. They should have cut prices on Core Duo computers. Intel were supposed to offer big price cuts on core duo this month, not that we'll ever see them.

OMG!!!!!! Apple.com/iphone!!!

Is not there :) Now I have to choose from a 24" iMac With 2.33ghz, or a stock macbook pro 15.4 2.33ghz..

They won't cut the price because at some point the MB will get the C2D and it'll remain at the same price.

So Apple charges $575 dollars for 1gig of ram. Did you guys see this. In the MBP to go from 2gig to 3gig of ram is $575!!!!
