I would assume Apple would honor any return, considering its not a special order and you are prepared to pay the difference. Plus correct me if i'm wrong, but if you order online...isn't their the distance selling act? meaning your well within your right to returm or exchange... something like 7 or 14 days once you've purchased?
Indeed, with regards to the Distance Selling Act, people on the previous page have pointed that out. My post was more or less explaining to the poster in question why the MBP was stuck at the UPS depot, instead of being dispatched right away. Apple themselves though do have a good track record for exchanging older models for newer ones if you've missed a new model by a week or two. I'm just saying it's best to talk to someone from the company or in an Apple Store itself, instead of just assuming that's the case.
