What is Apple's strategy for future-proofing the Watch? There are rumors that the innards can be swapped out as newer models emerge in the months ahead... is there anything to that?

I felt like this still did not answer the underline question. Can you preorder on Friday for in-store pick up, or is the only option home delivery for online orders placed Friday when it goes live?

I clearly stated yes, if the online system has 100 units for an in store reservation, then 100 people can reserve their watch online, go to the store, pick up and then pay at the store.

Once that number is exceeded, a different pick up date will show for that customer

Two things, you should already know the difference between what is public and what isn't, so why not just write up anything interesting that isn't public?

AMA's on Reddit are first verified with an employee at Reddit, are you willing to prove to Arn you're an employee? It's not like he's going to snitch on you.

The Genius Bar is receiving training and at the beginning all repairs will be swaps. So not sure about future proofing just yet

Yes, if the stock that is determined online doesn't run out you can make a product reservation and pay at the store on the 24th. Online portal will show you your pick up date at the store.

Most units will get reserved prior to the 24th, so on launch there will be no units for people to reserve and purchase for the same day but they can reserve for a future day

1. When will we be able to start reserving time on Friday to try on the watches? 2. Will Apple allocate separate stock from midnight's online orders so that those waiting to try one on before placing an order still have a chance to get a watch on release day? 3. Once having tried on a watch, can we then place our order directly with the Apple Store employee or do they just send us home to order online at the back of the queue like everyone else? Thanks! :D

will there be a limit on pre ordering on the 10?

We have been told 3, that's not been confirmed though

In your opinion, what important functionality hasn't been spotlighted yet?

I feel like everything has been spoken about in terms of features, they haven't talked much about the fact that you can ping your phone from the watch, they also haven't talked much about the internal storage in which you can sync some music to the watch itself

1) 12:01 PST

2) No, it's one whole system now, however you're forgetting that were two weeks away from launch, so there will be a large amount of stock that can be produced in two weeks, so customers that want to try on first can probably still make a product reservation for pick up on the 24th.

3) yes you can order with the Apple store employee to create a product reservation.

indeed the click bait on this troll thread is incredible

Troll? Always someone to complain about anything on a public forum.

Thanks! It's unfortunate they didn't decide to hold pre-orders until next Friday so that people could have a chance to see the watches and try them on before sales begin. But so long as there's enough stock and it isn't a case of, "if you didn't order at 3am you can't get one for 3 months", then I guess it's not really an issue.

I think they want the most amount of time so they can try to produce enough for launch. We're definitely trying to avoid lines on launch day

Wrist/band size

Hi, thanks for taking the time to share.

What is your wrist size and what size face will you get? What is your opinion on the 38 vs 42 for particular wrist sizes, since you've seen them in person?

Do you really think the sport watch won't look good with a black leather band?

Will the reservation system work the same in all day 1 countries (for example Germany), because "How to buy" tab is only on the U.S. storefront? Is it similar to the one at the iPhone 6 launch?

I'm asking because I'm from PL and planning to go to Berlin and be sure that it'll be waiting there for me

This was at the bottom of page 1, just want to make sure you saw it.

Haven't actually gotten to measure anything but they should be exact

I have no idea, I only know about US launch plans

Did you receive the Watch units + exposition tables yet?
Do you recommend in-store pickup or home delivery? What is best?
If in-store pickup, do you think the stores will be over-crowded/have long lines?

What do the sport bands feel like? I have the fitbit flex which has a hard edge. I'm hoping the sport bands for the watch have a spongy, softer feel.

I'm interested in combining the Sports watch with a classic buckle. Is that possible? Will the steel attachment crash badly with the aluminum case? What about with the Soace Grey watch?

What about the big debate on how the sport bands are packaged - are their two complete bands of different sizes or one fastener strap and two straps of different lengths with the holes?

I guess you haven't been told about this kind of things, but is the anodized aluminum stronger in the Apple Watch Sport (Space Gray) than in the iPhones? Any scratch-related comments?

It looks like it's darker (like in the iPhone 5), that's why I'm worried about if it will scratch.
