Why is the stainless steel watch called "Watch Pro" in the app? And why is the sport band referred to as "rubber?"

I'll bad mouth products if people don't know who I am, just because I work for this company doesn't mean I have to love every thing. Also, the fact that we havent gotten EPP discount announcements for the watch doesn't mean we will not. Just because we've only reciveced 25 percent doesn't mean this new Intro product will not have a massive incentive to get it into our hands.

Oh, and you doubt my employment?

Here's this.

Those pictures are interesting, and certainly point towards a in store reservation system. But what about those of us who want to reserve online and from different countries, for example I'm in th UK and would prefer to reserve a Apple Watch on the 10th to pick up at my local store on the 24th.

Well there were also people being polite and respectful and it is a shame they did not and will not get their questions answered, but so be it. I enjoyed reading the thread while it lasted.

It isn't always done with good manners and doesn't necessarily make for the most on-topic and pleasant of discussion threads, but at the same time it's not exactly uncommon for skeptics to question the veracity of people claiming to have inside information. If you truly wanted to impart some insider info, you would answer the questions you felt were legitimate and polite and ignore a repeat dissenter, especially when others did stick up for you. I'd hope you would at least acknowledge and thank those people who did, since you've taken the time to let us know how you feel about the skeptics.

If anyone stood up for me I'll be glad to answer any questions via PM. Just turned off by the amount of people so quick to jump down my throat.

Yes, the shocking thing here is Apple is allowing it to be called RUBBER!

I was amused that the green was the only one showing available. I had always joked about that shade of green they chose but then my manager showed up with our new work uniforms with that EXACT shade as the primary color. I decided to embrace it and will be getting the green sport to wear sometimes at work and in the gym.

BTW: Does anyone still have the link to the color picker site someone made? I want to see the SS with the green RUBBER.

That's understandable and gracious of you. I understand your feelings. I am still getting used to the frequency with which personal attacks and character assassination take the place of polite discourse and courteous debate on this forum myself.

Were you impressed the the build quality of the watch?
I really want to pre-order one but I have my doubts at the moment because of my iPad air 2 and iPhone 6, I see myself being more unimpressed by Apple as time goes on. I live in the UK and we're still waiting on Apple pay and iTunes radio.

You must not spend a lot of time on online forums, then. There's always people posting things just to troll or seek attention. People have good reason to be skeptical.

you won't answer any questions...? Hopefully I'm misreading that.

If you *are* answering questions, I'd be really curious to hear what you know about the workout functionality - specifically how accurate it is at tracking running distance by itself (i.e, I sync a playlist to it, take bluetooth headphones and leave my phone at home when I run)?

They said they'd accept some PM questions maybe.

Actually, I find that the mods on this forum are pretty quick to shut down personal attacks if you report them. Discussions here do get heated sometimes, and sometimes the tone of it gets rude, but rudeness doesn't always equal personal attack. If you think any post steps over general rudeness to specific personal attack, do report it to the mods. But personally, I kind of like how this forum tends to err on the side of letting people say what they think, rather than overpolicing for courtesy. YMMV.

The OP didn't say s/he was surprised, just turned off.

My thinking is that they wouldn't be turned off so quickly if they had been expecting the blowback.

It does annoy me when people flame Apple. Yes they are out to get as much of our money as they can and they dont always get things right and their stuff is expensive but no one forces us to buy their products.
Personally i respect Apple and everything they have done in terms of introducing innovative products and in my experience, the build quality far exceeds that of other manufacturers and my experiences in my local Apple store have always been encouraging.

Also remember that Apple employees follow corporate policies and management decisions. They are there to deliver a service as instructed.
