I think him saying he's waiting to see if he get's a free Watch or huge discount is pretty revealing. As a former Store employee I can definitely say we never expected to get anything that wasn't software for free and I probably can't talk about discounts but it wouldn't say they were "huge".
From Engadget "Imagine the gleeful reaction he was given when he announced that all Apple employees (our source says both part time and full-time employees) that have been with Apple for over a year will receive a free 8 gig iPhone by the end of July." About Steve jobs. Good try though. That was the original iPhone. Stands to reason the first watch could be the same.
That was before I worked there. For some of the other iPhones some employees would be in line themselves.
Does that also specifically include Apple Store employees?
Before you worked there means nothing. Yes, even the lowly store employees are considered Apple employees.
I'm not dismissing the idea that employees might get watches especially considering it's something you wear and it's visible. But if I was still working there and had never known we got free 1st gen iPhones (although we probably didn't in Canada) then I wouldn't ever expect a free watch.

Technically, yes, but they won't find anything except a public IP and a spoofed MAC address.
Definitely interested in the stainless with a leather or Milanese strap. Still hoping we get either a free watch or a large discount but no announcement yet,
So essentially you're saying since you wouldn't have known that, this alleged employee automatically doesn't know that? Hahah
Or the fact that you've recently visited the apple campus, and have handled stock in your store for the "demo" purposes.
They can guess your timezone based on your posts, so "has anyone in this timezone been to apple campus recently, who has been helping to setup demo in the store?"
Doesn't take much to work it out.
That said:
If you were an Apple employee, which, by the way, I highly doubt, you would know the answer to this. Did you get a free Mac, or a free iPod, or a free iPhone, or a free iPad?
That comment kind of says it all tbh, no apple employee (at retail, anyway) would expect (or even hope) to get a free product at launch.
Except for the fact that steve gave all Apple employees that worked at the company for at least a year, the original iPhone. It was an 8GB version. Good try though. Maybe research a little.
I would not call the OP a troll - perhaps he/she is an impostor. However, everything they said seemed very plausible, so whether or not AppleSnitch a true employee they have not revealed anything that contradicts official word from Apple this far.
think the sports are ugly as can be, the space grey sport is okay.
BTW this alleged employee said:
Even if they really felt that way what Apple employee would say an Apple product is "ugly as can be" on a public forum? Typically when companies do AMA's they don't trash the product they're taking questions about.
Is SMS verification needed for in store reservation?
Seriously? I don't believe this was an employee with inside knowledge either, but this is another comment that makes no sense at all. IF an employee decided to divulge company info, you think they wouldn't be honest as to how they feel about the product? .......
I saw on some iP6 pre-order video that it was required in Hong-Kong, but I had no problems reserving mine in German AOS without SMS verification. Hope that it'll stay that way...
I'll let you in on something you don't understand. Apple can't control every employee. Yes Apple will only hire people that would sooner die than talk badly about any product, they go through hundreds of interviews to ensure this!! Of course Apple would fire someone 'badmouthing' their products in a RETAIL store if they heard them. 'Pretty much' every specialist lmao. Crazy kids.Something else you don't understand. Apple doesn't employ people who will badmouth their products in retail stores.
Pretty much every specialist you'll see will be a massive apple fan.
