I had my iPhone, iPad, and 2 laptops open and iPad openned up first to order around 4 after the hour. Had a problem with my credit card but was still able to get a first day order pick up at 1030am.

This is why for iPhones I always use Apple Card. Start off with payment and then pay off when I can. Apple seems to know what is going on at this time.
Apple Card check out had its own issues during pre-order, just saying. Multiple error messages, freezing, crashing, stuck on processing payment. It happened to me and I prepared my preorder the day before.

I have the same issue. I tried at opening, and just now. As little experiment, I tried a random number for the PIN and it told me that was not the correct PIN. So that confirms I'm using the correct PIN, but won't let me proceed because my account is supposedly inactive. Meanwhile, attempting to look at my profile on t-mobile's web site just spins, so that seems to confirm the issue is on their end. I'll blame them when I have to wait for my iPhones 14 to arrive after the initial arrival date. #firstworldproblems.

I looked at ordering directly from T-Mobile, but I didn't like the way they did the trade-in discount nor did they offer straight AppleCare+ or the accessories that I wanted.

There are worse problems in the world to have, but it's really disappointing that these tech companies can't have their tech ready for an event like this.
Not long after I posted this, it freakin’ worked. Go figure. The dumb thing after that was that it wouldn’t let me order my phone and my wife’s on the same order, so I had to do them separately. Both said they’d be delivered September 16, though mine has started to show up in UPS tracking (as are the two accessories I ordered with it) but none of my wife’s have yet. We’ve been charged for everything.

That being said, she’s not like me. She doesn’t care if she won’t get it on release day. She probably will, but if it’s a little late she’s over it. Also, that will give me time to help her get it going.

So after my story of great success in getting a phone on launch day. Verizon comes back and says my payment was rejected AGAIN, after it went through on pre-order day. Ultimately a quick call to Verizon and using my credit card instead (just in case.) I got my shipping notification yesterday :D
