I keep getting payment authentication errors. Tried 3 different payment methods but get same error every time. Slightly worrying also is that a part payment is being taken from my bank each time the payment fails. I then go back to Apple only to find out they still want the full amount!!

Apple Store Experiencing Issues With iPhone 14 Pre-Orders

I did the pre-order to put the new (Apple upgrade program) phone into my Apple Store bag before the deadline yesterday (on the Apple website, using my Mac).
This morning, I used the phone Apple Store app and had no problem at all, except the site opened up about 4 minutes late for me after sitting there with the loading prompt going in circles for a bit.
Phone (1TB 14 Pro, silver) will arrive next Friday. Unless a Fedex worker steals it again, as they did last year.

Got in at 5:08 AM (2:08 AM HST) submitted the preorder, used Apple Pay and done. Only bad thing is my delivery is for 09/19 because standard shipping to Hawaii takes longer. Better 3 days delay than trying to change it and getting pushed out for weeks.
Does anyone know when the physical Apple stores will have them on display?
Finally managed to get one ordered, had to choose pick up at my local post office, got it to work on the website rather than the app, as the pick up wasn’t available in the app. Choosing The post office seems to have skipped the issue it was having with my delivery (phone number?) issue - shame it’s a month until the pick up date now
I finally got my Pro Max 256 ordered with full T-mobile advantages. So i’ll pay $200 Trading in an iPhone 13 Pro Max 256. I started at 5am with many hurdles untill it finally worked.
Numerous times I got through to the reservation screen only to get an alert telling me I had reached my reservation limit. I tried different configurations. Different stores. Different apple ids, different email addresses and phone numbers. I even tried with two different iPhones. Same result. The system simply didn't work if you wanted to join the Upgrade Program.
Usually it's always on release day. In this case it would be Sept. 16th.
When using Apple Pay to pay for pre order does apple charge the card you used to place the order or will they try all cards in wallet to get payment?
Just the card you specify when you went through the pre-order. I think if you want to use another card, you have to start the process over again.

I guess I was lucky. I used the Store app on my iPhone to pre-order it after the announcement. Yes, totally swallowed up by the RDF 😂
I got up at 5:45am MDT and started the app at 6:00am. I got something like 'getting ready', for a few seconds, and then it went to my pre-order info, had me confirm everything, and I was done by 6:03 with the shipping date of next week, yay!

Logged in at 5:00 am PST using the app on my phone, submitted my saved order and was done a minute later. Confirmation email came right away. My order did disappear using the app later that morning but clicking my confirmation order# in the email showed it was still good to go. Later this morning my order showed back up in the app. This process was right up there as one of my best.
I never thought I would thin Verizon is easier to order from 😂😂😅

Same here. I chatted with a rep and most likely the 23rd is the date.
But others say it was a glitch.

You have to cancel your pre pre order and just pre order now and it should work.Same
I ordered a 256 G iPhone Pro Purple at 8:05AM EST with a 9-16 delivery. Got the email and it said 9-23 by USPS. At 12:50PM EST I checked and for this same phone config. it was still available for 9-16 delivery. Major glitch.
It seems it makes not difference except 14PM. The other three are all available nearby for launch day. There was a 512 Purple and a TB Gold before but they are gone now too.
