I kept getting an error that I wasn't a T-Mobile customer. Finally gave up and went to sleep. Tried again around noon PST and it took three tries but I was finally able to place the order.

I just came here to watch all the over-privileged adult-childs (chults?) cry and scream about having to wait a few extra weeks to replace the completely capable pocket computer they already have so they can watch TikTok that much harder.

Talk about first world problems...
Seems an odd thing to derive pleasure from and feel the need to share with everyone, but whatever floats your boat I guess.

My order status is currently at "order placed" and I have yet to see a charge on my card. Order placed a few minutes after the pre-orders opened this morning. Is anyone else in a similar situation?
Thank you

They charge right before they ship. Are you saying you don’t even have a temporary auth?

too many error messages and crashes and it pushed my order into October. For the first time ever, I won't have the iPhone on launch day!

Thanks for all the advice, I gave up and ordered from Sky mobile instead. Smooth and probably I'll get it much sooner

I ordered 2 sets of iPhone Pro Max. First attempt failed so I tried again and was successful on 2nd try. Email received.

However when I checked my order last night, I have 2 orders (also 2 emails with different codes).

I know I can cancel. But would apple allow me to keep 4 sets (website says limit 2 per pax). If can, I will transfer to my friends who failed to secure sets on day 1.

Sorry to hear that, this was definitely the buggiest launch in history in my opinion, I buy a new iPhone every year so have a bit of history with launches but I was in a similar situation getting errors for the first time ever, payment just wouldn’t work. Switching devices is the only thing that saved me.

Ordering experience has gone backwards. Apple Pay wouldn't confirm purchase 'Error' kept coming up. Items were listed seperately, each one required a separate transaction
Soon we'll be back at waiting online in front of the store

Hi guys! First time trying to pre-order on the release day here, does this mean I got through all the hiccups and troubles to finally be able to get my phone on the pickup day? Thank you.

Apple needs to improve its order system
It took me twenty minutes to order a phone after 12 tries

Shortly after pre-orders were possible I struggled to get my order through using my regular credit card. However paying with Apple Pay in the Apple Store app did work.

Today I got an email/notification that my order has a problem with the payment and I had to re-enter my payment details (this time my credit card was accepted). Let‘s cross fingers that I don‘ get charged twice. Maybe it‘s a limit on my Apple Pay I wasn‘t aware of (curse you high Euro prices… haha)

It seems that even though the transaction went through yesterday subsequent checking revealed that my bank did not authorise the payment.

Phoned the bank up this morning and they declined it as it was such a large amount for an online transaction. Surely the banks have a duty to inform their customers if they suspect fraud? I had no communication from the bank.

I am now in a queue to the fraud department to get this reset. 40 mins in and I am still in the queue

Usually, you can setup alerts for declined charges and also for large purchases.

This is why for iPhones I always use Apple Card. Start off with payment and then pay off when I can. Apple seems to know what is going on at this time.
