I sure has but most of my thinking goes in the direction of the interface which is only partially in hardware (remote for example).
Exactly. The software needs a complete overhaul. And then...there's that remote. I have no issue with the streaming box. It's just a black box.

Seriously, if we don’t get AirTags today, I’m re-tileing my Tiles. Batteries have been dead for quite some time, as I’ve been waiting almost a year to see what Apple comes up with. Over it.

Also, in laymen terms, can someone please explain to me what the big deal is about these Silicone Macs? I don’t understand what all the hype is about and why everyone is waiting with baited breath to buy one.

One more thing could be Apple Tiles. If it’s true that a tile can be tracked any where if there is an Apple device nearby (and Apple devices are set to inform the tile owner by default) it will make theft a much more risky thing, and stolen stuff a lot more easy to recover. Fx. bicycles.

No other PC vendor (Dell, Lenovo, Acer, Asus) uses their own CPU, they use CPU’s from AMD or Intel. The big deal is that one of the top six vendors (by units shipped) will be utilizing their own CPU. A CPU custom designed for the OS. (It would be just as big a deal if Acer did it)

Don’t know why people say this. It’s not about that. It’s about devaluing your product.
And I don't know why people say that. It's not an investment, it's a tool. If you have a steel screwdriver that works fine, it still works fine when they release a shinier, lighter, titanium screwdriver. If you're buying tools for their resale value, well, that's just silly.

Apple Store Goes Down Ahead of Apple Event Today, Apple "Arm Processor" Macs Expected to Debut. Get it straight instead of making things up or trying to event something new that is like 40 years old. Typical Apple self righteousness

Ironic that you are apparently kvetching about a trivial thing by shouting.

A question? Does the new Arm mac provides scales on diagrams or can it only be used for high power ********ting?

Apple showcased Microsoft Office at an event. They make their own equivalent (Pages, Keynote etc). Plus this isn’t like a usual event. Apple want people to jump to arm. I don’t think they are naive enough to not show a product and think that people don’t already know about that product anyway.
Well, it takes a big man to admit he’s wrong. That big man is me.

It has 8 cores that is double the speed of a Intel. But it can only handle 3x the amount of instrument plugs. It should be about 16 if my calculator is not totally uncalibrated.

The current 13” MacBook Pro was introduced in 2016, not 2010. What are you expecting from them design-wise? The current industrial design has distilled things down to the barest essence, there is little left to do with these shapes beyond the changing the amount of curve of the rectangle or a chamfer here or there, different vents, a different speaker grille look. Literally, there is little that can change that much.
Who said I was talking about the MacBook Pro? It's the iMac I want to see totally revamped.

I applaud you. Not many would lol. I’ve just ordered the MacBook Pro 13.3” with upgraded ram to 16gb, bought the Apple pro bundle too and the AppleCare+. That way I can use Logic Pro x, have Final Cut Pro x if resolve is still a bit too much for the m1 chip and with being a student I got it all for just over £1900. Bargain I think. Even if Resolve is epic, Logic is worth the £180 I paid for the pro bundle (given the education discount).

You should watch the Blackmagic Design presentations on DaVinci Resolve 17. They have improved their Fairlight component quite a bit. If your interest in Logic is music production, it is still a great option, if your interest in it is audio for video, Fairlight is very competitive.

Willing to bet a lot of money that Blackmagic will have Apple Silicon support very quickly. I would expect it within a month after ASi Mac systems ship, if not at launch.

Featured in the videos. Pretty sure it will be available right away.

Yeah I’m familiar with Fairlight and good for video editing like you say but I also do music production so a daw is a must anyway.
