I have both of thoseHe he, just for fun: I found a photo of 2001 PowerBook G4 and Late-2019 16" MacBook Pro. G4 had been a super-king with those bezels in 2001!!!

If there were any design updates then we WOULD have seen leaks / rumoursI'm interested exactly because we've seen absolutely no leaks or rumours about these products. I hope finally, ***** finally there will be some industrial design updates too, that don't just involve bezel trimming.
Lol I don't understand why people are so concerned about this. I've had every combination of boot camp and parallels for over 10 years and you know what? Meh. I just buy cheap windows PCs to keep my windows needs for development testing isolated, and gaming PCs for any real gaming. There is no reason to sully my Mac with that crap. I've never found it to be "the way" of doing it.Windows is a terrible joke in it's current form.
There'll always be a better next version on the horizon.Brave. I will wait for various reviews before I spend £2k on a new MacBook. I might sit out the first wave anyway and wait for the 14" redesign next year rather than make do with the current 13" chassis.
Windows for ARM is a thing. Microsoft wants to move away from Intel, just like everyone else.
Very strange that there are no leaks.
The current 13” MacBook Pro was introduced in 2016, not 2010. What are you expecting from them design-wise? The current industrial design has distilled things down to the barest essence, there is little left to do with these shapes beyond the changing the amount of curve of the rectangle or a chamfer here or there, different vents, a different speaker grille look. Literally, there is little that can change that much.Goddammit. Still no design updates? They've gone from pushing the envelope to pulling it back to 10 years ago. -_-
In an unlucky bit of timing, I purchased an album on the iTunes Store just as Apple took everything down. So the downloads are still sitting there unfinished. Hopefully they'll complete when the store goes back up. I didn't think that Apple's entire purchasing ecosystem was tied together.
Willing to bet a lot of money that Blackmagic will have Apple Silicon support very quickly. I would expect it within a month after ASi Mac systems ship, if not at launch.Considering Blackmagic have just released their new Davinci Resolve 17, I’m hoping they didn’t mention compatibility with Apple Silicon because Apple will show it running at the event. If not then I may just buy a new MacBook Pro 16” as DR17 looks amazing and no way I’m waiting potentially months/a year for them to make it AS friendly. If Apple showcase DR running then I’m ready to buy today.
I think there are many people who have been holding out and don't want to buy an Intel Mac right now because if history teaches us anything this transition will happen quickly. Major software releases for PowerPC Macs was pretty much done after a couple years when the first Intel Mac was introduced. A lot of people don't want to spend money on something that will be obsolete in 24 months.I'm surprised at the number of people who immediately want to order an ARM based Mac.
Unless people absolutely need it, I would wait for awhile to see if there are any major bugs with this major hardware redesign.
Agree why block iPhone orders if that is not the new item????Again, this is nuts...IF they do not have something to order or pre-order....like they did with the first and second events..
Why shut down the store when you just add new pages for the new products that will be available to pre-order a week from now for example and then again, stores down
Even if there are, just block those items, not iPhonesNo, thats the thing.......nothing to preorder...but the stores goes down for nothing
I understand blocking orders older items, but there aren't anymore iPhones, so don't block thoseNot everything is about efficiency, not even at Apple. Sometimes companies keep some of their traditions. In this case I think it's a mix to prevent orders of other items, hype, and tradition.
Yes so stupid to block products that will not be debutedGreat I can't buy a Hermes watchstrap now.
First, let me ask you if you think the tv has room for improvement.
But why not just block the items that are being upgraded. No reason to block iPhone/Watch itemsThe store's down for ~6 hours. Not the end of the world. You can still order from carriers. It's not like the Max/Mini just went up for initial sale last night.
I didn't realize that they always took the store down regardless of whether there would be pre-orders that day.No, thats the thing.......nothing to preorder...but the stores goes down for nothing
Sure. But new products come out all the time, and it's not like Apple gear significantly decreases in value. 2020 pros still go for a pretty penny (used/refurb/3rd party retailer).Don’t know why people say this. It’s not about that. It’s about devaluing your product.
