IMHO, it is both. Older and more boring by the day.
Yours, certified GOMM (Grumpy Old Man on a Monday)

Even as a Brit myself, I find the constant self-deprecation of most Brits to be overplayed and rather annoying. Self-deprecation, even in jest, leads to false modesty and all manner of other character traits which we can do without, and which become the pivot for time-wasting small talk and mockery from others. Take yourself with a pinch of salt, yeah, sure, but public self-jestery is... tiresome, and oft the point of it is confusing to outsiders.

Walk into a shop, dripping wet: Expect to be asked "ooh, is it raining?"

Walk onto a bus: Expect a pointless (although pleasant), rhetorical conversation about the weather.

Yeah, I am being pedantic, but if you cut ALL that BS out of life, you'd be amazed how much time you freed up for great things :)

Wristbands are the "one more thing." Or what would you talk about one hour on wristbands? ^^

Hello guys, nice to see you! Here's what we have today:

New gold wristband for Apple Watch! (talks 30 min)
New pink gold wristband for Apple Watch! (talks 30 min)
New zebra wristband for Apple Watch! (talks 30 min)

And the one more thing!
New translucent wristband for Apple Watch!

And now my favorite singer Miley Cyrus and Apple executive Dr. Dre will close the show.
Thanks for attending, bye.

:D

Slightly offtopic but I live your 'Tar. I remember watching that show as a kid :D

As for the 6s vs. SE, I too am looking forward to the smaller form factor. I erred in getting the plus, I'm finding its just too large for me.
It was a fun show. There were so many fun and weird shows from that era. I miss the way Saturday morning tv used to be.

I'm really hoping the new iPhone is not artificially cheated out on specs in any way. Very few of my friends and family have given up their iPhone 5 sized phones to upgrade to the 6 series. They look at my 6s Plus and shake their heads in disapproval or disbelief. They see me fumbling with it, struggling to get it out of my purse or pocket. They don't seem to care that I have killer battery life. They want their small iPhones. When they think of an iPhone they think of the 5 series size.

That's why I am somewhat taken aback at how firm many forum members are in their opinion that there is no market for these smaller iPhones.

I'm happy with my 6S Plus because of the features. I've made my peace with the form factor. But if the new iPhone is as feature rich as I'm hoping, I'm going to have serious envy when I buy it for my daughter and possibly my mother-in-law.

The site came back for a quick second. Caught this:

Wait a minute, that last silly little part, 'Lol, what even is Skylake?', Skylake! i.e. Mac's, Laptops?!

Since Apple can't seem to figure out what people really want, why don't they take a poll and come out with the top 10 things (TB 5K Display, new Mac Pro, new MBr and MBP with Skylake, etc.). Then, people wouldn't be bored.
Yes!. Man on the street interviews is the way...

Shall I call Tim, Phil and Craig, and inform them you want to take over? Join the queue, many people think they'd be "better" at Apple than Apple, which is why many people are patted on the head and walked past.

Nope. Never said I wanted to take over and never said I could do better. Just stating observations. Truth is, they're in some very mature markets (computers/smartphones), while also in new ones (wearable) which I'm sure they're hoping becomes the next big one and hopefully not a niche.

I'm not saying they have horrible products, I have all mac stuff, but I'm not won over by "shiny" things. I've held onto my 2012 MBP because I have yet to be wowed by any of the new stuff. I mean, it's some nice stuff, but not enough to take away 1.5k of my hard earned money. Maybe a Skylake release will finally be the right combination. As for my iPhone, my wife and I have 5s because it was the perfect combination of size, technology, and "future proofing". We'll be keeping them until I see that "perfect storm" again. It'll probably be the 7s if I was to guess.

All I'm saying is take a minute to actually be objective. If you use Apple products without it being a "life style brand", you'll see what I'm trying to get at. I know there will always be someone doing a specific thing better than Apple, but the thing that rubs many of us here is when they are the absolute last to the party not because it's finally matured, but because they start to lose customers because of the missing feature. 16GB for your flagship phone that can shoot 4k video is a great example. No way to cut it, it should be an absolute embarrassment. You simply cannot defend that from any customer perspective.

I want a more user friendly iTunes that does not erase settings with each update. Be able to select vs sync.

Is it too much to hope for an Apple version of 1999-2002 Microsoft's Money program?

Venture into the High Definition video, like Blu-ray or better.

PC level games, therefore, better graphic cards.

Or they will announce the Apple Car ... or VR Headset ... but I am not interested in either, so ...
VR headset is like 3D tv, gimmick and a waste of time. This is what happens when tech companies run out of things to create... Curve tv, 3D tv, ultra 4K tv, VR headset (re-hashed 90's tech), Motion sensor game (Kinect, PS Eye, Wii Remote), 3D on phones, etc

I'm just excited because I can now watch it on my new  TV and 55" hdtv. I don't expect anything that will blow me away today

To compare 3D TV with VR headsets is an insult in VR technology IMO. My bet is that VR headsets will (finally) revolutionize our life – especially in entertainment and education – even more than smartphones within the next 5-10 years. Hopefully sooner, but that depends on how soon the whole technology becomes easier to use "the Apple way" – buying such a headset and good to go instead of having to do days of research configuring a dedicated high-power PC for your Oculus Rift, understanding how to get everything connected and working right etc.

It would be funny (and scary for some), if Apple would announce, that there won't be any (desktop) computers in the future ... at all.
would never happen the iMac is hugely popular with businesses that require equipment to remain in office. laptops are nice but will never kill off the desktop market. It might be less popular for home users but not businesses.

The fact that they are uncomfortable to wear, Eye strain and headaches are a big problem with VR headsets... They seem cool but its just another tech gimmick that adds no real benefit or game change progress. I mention 3D TV because it's the same when comparing to big tech advances and changes. It falls short, its just a gimmick, it will come and go. It will never be a must have / every day thing. Something as simple as bluetooth earbuds will be more popular than VR headsets.

I've have owned a VR headset before the HeadPlay VR headset. It was fun, played games like Halo with it on connected it to my computer for use... It was a cool gadget but definitely not a big thing. Even with tech advances the current VR sets are still the same.

That mock site is detracted from by the huge amount of unjustified over-confidence of the person writing the "jokes". If that was you, sorry but your career as a comedian needs some refinement.

you are so annoying... just go away.

Didn't wear an Oculus Rift or similar on my own head yet, but was under the impression / hoping that too less comfort isn't a problem (anymore). You may be right about that though - that's an important detail which has to be done right.
