Keep a close eye on Apple stock once keynote concludes today… See what Katie Huberty and the rest of the Wall Street tech analysts think of the new offerings.

Didn't wear an Oculus Rift or similar on my own head yet, but was under the impression / hoping that too less comfort isn't a problem (anymore). You may be right about that though - that's an important detail which has to be done right.

I got a massive headache that felt a bit like a migrain from using an Occulus on a show floor (so it couldn't have been that long). YMMV, but for now, the tech doesn't work for me. Maybe I'm an outlier, but my guess is, the tech isn't there yet???

I'm pretty sure I would get dizziness and maybe even headaches, too, when trying out the Oculus - the question is if this is just a matter of getting used to it and if it goes away (for most people) after a short time. If not, VR technology still has a problem indeed.

It would be really cool if some of the "Apple aren't awesome" people could come up with examples of awesome life-changing products they would introduce if they were Tim Cook. (Before you ask, no, I don't have any ideas.)
Whereas I would certainly say that I am NOT one of those fellows you mention, I do think Apple is a victim of its own success and losing site of one of the things that made it great.....it just works, clean, and simple design. I say this particularly in regard to its iCloud and other electronic services. Example given, we have like three different Photo streaming services; shared photos, photo streams, and some cloud storage service. I have spent real time trying to figure just what the heck they all are and what costs me money/storage and what doesn't. The situation isn't much clearer for its music offerings. I would not lose sleep is Apple put a moratorium on ALL new features and instead went back to the drawing board to sort out where they are now and how to integrate everything in a more intuitive manner. If iOS 10 was nothing but a complete re-envisioning of all their current services that would be fine by me. Right now, I'd say that they are entering the spaghetti services world.

The site is up.

Anyone who ISN'T in the slightest bit looking forward to an Apple keynote, is either:

~ A keynote virgin

~ In outright denial

~ Wanting to "fit in" and go along with the mass opinion

~ Lying

I'm both looking forward to it and disgusted by it. You know, like the US presidential election.

Hell yeah Apple Watch is number one selling product, thats cause I just bought one. lol
Seriously, health bands? Pls?

i love how a "We will be back" message leads to 13+ pages of comments.

Apple is doomed!
Did you hear the part where he said they want to leave the Earth better than they found it? Apple is leaving the Earth = Apple is doomed!

To compare 3D TV with VR headsets is an insult in VR technology IMO. My bet is that VR headsets will (finally) revolutionize our life – especially in entertainment and education – even more than smartphones within the next 5-10 years. Hopefully sooner, but that depends on how soon the whole technology becomes easier to use "the Apple way" – buying such a headset and good to go instead of having to do days of research configuring a dedicated high-power PC for your Oculus Rift, understanding how to get everything connected and working right etc.

Sounds more like a compliment to me. It implies it'll see a quiet success, where people upgrade to it, simply because it has become the de facto standard base model TV now. VR, however, will just straight up bomb.
