Apple Store iPhone 13 & Pro Availability Mega Thread [MERGED]

I feel stuck lol. I might just bite the bullet and wait it out with a confirmed order. Cause I've been checking every day since launch and all 15 stores nearest to me in LA have not had a single Pro model of any kind. I've heard people say they've seen them pop up here and there, but it seems like that is literally 1-2 phones only and they go fast.

And I'm not willing to budge and settle for a configuration I don't want lol so I'm looking for a needle in a haystack I suppose with a 13 Pro Max Sierra Blue 256GB
 
There were reports a month or two ago before the launch that iphones would harder to find this year due to the pandemic and stuff. But not as bad as gamers who are still looking for PS5 and Xbox Series S consoles. So us iphone fans should be happy that Apple isn't in that boat with Sony and Microsoft.

I am one of the lucky ones to have gotten a PS5 at launch last year.

I got a PS5 not too long ago after months of trying. At least with the iPhone, you can just order it and they'll send it to you when it's available. It's the wild west trying to score a gaming console.

I make an appt then go browse and buy etc what I want.

I wrote a hopeful post about finding the other iPhone, I remain SLIGHTLY hopeful for that? The whole UPS mess on some non-deliveries on Fri. I blame this on extreme delayed deliveries, driver shortages also with them.

If you are all a last second Xmas present purchaser like I am, I might start re-thinking that and start getting your Xmas shopping started ASAP.

Yea if you are planning on buying any tech as gifts this year for the holidays, I would start like now or no later than October. There already has been announced there will be a toy shortage this year for the kids out there.

A 13 Pro Graphite 1TB just showed up at Apple The Americana at Brand. I didn't want to drive that far or I would have grabbed it.

It's gone now.

Absolutely zero in stock around here. (Pro and Pro Max) Every color, every size. 😬

You have to be ready to pull the trigger as they go fast. If I see a 13P or 13PM 512/1TB within half an hour I am grabbing it. I just keep selecting different memory size options and it refreshes the availability. Kind of a PITA but what it takes.. and I am bored.

Personally, I’d probably hold out. I think that over the coming days and weeks as more and more people get their phones the inventory situation will get better and you’ll have more luck finding one in a store. I also don’t think that the delivery times will get pushed back too much farther.

Say you have a 1 month wait right for delivery right now. If you wait two weeks I suspect that the stores will have more stock, so you will be more likely to get one in a store, but I also suspect that the delivery wait will be down to about two weeks, so you don’t really lose anything by waiting.

Of course, there is no guarantee and covid and supply chain issues could make my predictions way off. There is also something to be said for having a confirmed order and not having to worry about it anymore, but if I was in your shoes and wanted a phone as soon as possible then I would wait and keep looking.

I called 2 nearby Apple stores yesterday asking about their stock and they said they should be getting new shipments; One store said towards the end of the week, and the other store said within 2-3 days (this was yesterday). I'm assuming when their shipments arrive there'll be a lot of availability on the website and then from there there the lady said it was first come first serve. Fingers Crossed on these upcoming days, hoping for a 13PM 128/256gb

I am seeing them pop up and then disappear in my zip code.
 
Kinda kicking myself. I've had every iPhone on launch day except the 4S and now this one. Decided I was going to skip this one as I didn't think there was a ton of difference between it and the 12PM plus I'm loving my Z Fold 3 but after seeing all the great pictures in the picture thread and reports of improved battery life and reading reviews all weekend I've started to want one. Been checking all the stores around the Dallas area all day yesterday and today with no luck. Hoping to get my hands on one this weekend, if not I'll just place my order and wait it out.

Ugh, I missed out on that 256GB 13 Pro Max. I live in LA as well lol. I guess I just need to refresh like crazy all day lol. I decided to hold out to see if I can get one at a local store ahead of the current Nov 1-8th lead time for shipped orders.
 
Been checking all day with no luck. I’ve seen a few models, but not the configuration I’m looking for. Hopefully something by this weekend would be nice.
 
What is the best way to check for inventory? The Apple app or diretly on Apple’s site? Does it even matter?

I'm not really sure, but I've been using the mobile app. I have the configuration up and then I'll just cycle between storage size or something to refresh the listings. Not sure if this will do it or not. Wanted to be on my phone since if I get through the payment process will be way quicker and faster without the need to enter and CC info etc

Yes I’ve been using the app too. Just trying to refresh it is not always so apparent.
 
I preordered 13 Pro Max Graphite 256gb about 10 mins after release. Received it on launch day. Came from 12 Mini and am having a very hard time choosing which one I want. With the shortage it is making me want to keep the Pro Max. I feel lucky.

90401 seems to give me the most ‘spread’ in that I get visibility to 12 stores vs my zip code giving me 8. I just go to the screen that lets you check for a different model/memory size and make random selections. Occasionally, I back out and start over.
