I dunno how all of you are having no problems at AT&T's site....i get nothing but problem there. Same error that others have posted. Maybe family plans with Government discounts or some ****. I dunno. I hate that i waited up and now have 3 hours of sleep.
 
Gave up on the Apple Site and ordered trough AT&T. The whole experience was actually kinda of entertaining, but then again it's 1:30 am here and I took a 3hour nap before hand. I'm sure people on the east coast aren't quite as amused.

BTW... AT&T people, don't be afraid to remove your unlimited data plan, you have to replace it with the unlimited data for iPhone 4S plan.
 
I have a FAN account and after the AT&T nightmare last year this time I ordered directly through Apple. Got straight through on a White 64gb 4S, kept my unlimited data for $30, only thing is I was forced to upgrade to unlimited texting for $20 (which I expected). Was super smooth.

My wife was trying to order on her own plan, a White 16gb, and it crashed during AT&T verify. But the weird thing is Apple asked her to sign in, and then sent her an email guaranteeing her a phone on launch day when the AT&T servers are back up.

She has a link from Apple to sign up and order by Saturday the 8th to confirm, but I'm still unable to get through the AT&T crap servers.

Oh well.
 
I'm making one last try on Apple's site and then laying down to get in 1 more hour of sleep before getting up for work. I have a FAN on my AT&T account so it's looking like I may be screwed anyway. It jus sucks because my first attempt had made it all the way to "add to cart" and then timed out.

I got through a few times at first, but it gave me an error once I tried to check out. Now I can't even get through the verification step.

WONT CHECK MY AVAILABILITY WITHOUT LOGGING ON.

APPLE WONT LET ME GET BY THE FIRST FEW STEPS AFTER I CHOOSE MY COLOR AND CARRIER AND TYPE IN MY INFO...

Right now nothing is working.....guess I'll be waiting in line next Friday
 
Apple Store failed me time and time again, jumped over to AT&T and was finally able to order all three phones for our account. Nice that AT&T gave a $200 discount on the 2nd and 3rd lines this time, I wasn't expecting that.

Here's to being locked in for two more years. :)

I have a FAN discount and am getting this consistently on ATT. Cant get through the ATT verification on Apple.com or the iPhone Apple Store app.

This happened once before to the ATT FAN folks during an upgrade.

Probably never get through to ATT in the AM.

Probably a sign: In the midst of all this, my AT&T Uverse connection to my house goes down, at 3:30 AM. Probably means I should give up.

Hey Apple. This is for pre-order. Accept the order first then verify eligibility and pricing later over the next few days. Then ask customers to confirm.

Not that your idea isn't a good one (I like it) but is this REALLY a preorder? We are ordering it to receive in 1 week. Not much of a preorder in the world of preorders.
