att just worked for me..

ive been using chrome all night, first time i tried internet explorer the att page loaded up for me...
 
So tried AT&T again and it worked. Email confirmation was almost immediate. Probably 15 seconds. Now I also have a reservation on Apple. I'm guessing that won't work since I am no longer eligible for the upgrade. Or I can cancel it. Or my wife gets the new iPhone 4s. Oops, just got my confirmation email from Apple.

What will determine my eligibility?
If you are starting a new account with your carrier, they will run a credit check using the billing information that you have provided and confirm that service is available in your area. A carrier deposit may be required. If you are buying an iPhone for an existing carrier line, they will confirm that your account is in good standing and determine, based on where you are in your carrier contract, the price for which you are eligible.
 
Okay got 1 of 2 reservation confirmation emails, and I honestly can't tell if this is the upgrade line or the new line. Gonna wait a little more for the second one to come, if it doesn't then I'm going to bed. What a disaster of a night...
 
I got 1 but nit the other for the 2nd 4s I ordered.

2nd email just came in, but I cannot go confirm my reservations. I tried both by signing into my Apple account and via the res number and get en error saying the request cannot be processed at this time.

Was FINALLY able to place my order. I ultimately had to use the freaking AT&T Upgrader iOS app! The AT&T site kept returning Error P1234, but the app ultimately let me complete the process.

If you're getting Error P1234 (and possibly have a FAN discount) give the app a try.
 
****. My order went through on ATT, but my receipt says it's a new service?:confused: I used my moms upgrade on her account.. I'm REALLY hoping I didn't inadvertantly add an extra line to her account. UGH
 
Yup. Done ordering through Apple.com. I was even able to use two payment methods! Worth the wait... I guess.

In unrelated news, ATT's process for changing your billing address is *($*ing retarded. It won't let you pick what you put in...the radio box is greyed out. ARGH!
 
I've tried following everyone's instructions for "2 minute ordering" on AT&T's site, however, I keep getting the following error:

There was a problem with your request.
P1234: We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are unable to support this request online. Please contact Premier Support at 1-866-499-8008 Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern Time for assistance with your request. Same error for me trying to go through AT&T via all possible links, so that was a no-go. But finally got both my phone and wife's reserved through Apple. I verified beforehand that we were eligible (still rocking 3G, so wasn't especially worried on that front). Biggest concern is maintaining grandfathered unlimited data and not borking the family plan for whom my mom is the primary. I do believe ours is a FAN account as well, but I've heard others with FAN accounts didn't have a problem.

I've gotten one of the confirmation emails, but not the second. But I printed a PDF of the confirmation page with #, so I should be covered.

Off for a two-hour nap in lieu of a full night of sleep. :rolleyes:

EDIT: Second confirmation email arrived as I was typing this. About 10 minutes between them, so don't freak out if yours doesn't show up immediately.

Okay my 2nd email came in as well, and I also can't go in to confirm and got the same error msg as you saying the request can't be processed at this time.

AT&T won't even let me log on to "check my availability" let alone order anything...if I try to order it tells me to log on...and then the cycle begins...I thought this was happening because I have a FAN account...I guess I was wrong?
 
Can I not edit shipping? It's saying it's gonna ship to my dad's house.. all the way across the country. The "Edit Shipping" option is grayed out.

Help please!
 
I still haven't gotten my reservation email. It's been 20 minutes! Stupid me not taking a screen grab! As soon as I see it I can sleep in peace!
