Hopefully it will continue to feature a beautiful glossy coating and offer more connection options than just Thunderbolt, such as DisplayPort and HDMI, so that the ASD2 can also be used with a PC.
Works fine with PC, my dad uses one with his dell laptop. I downloaded a 3rd party tool from git (free) for the brightness adjustment. In the past I was burned by installing bootcamp drivers on a non Apple computer (it bricked the Windows installation) because it does more then install drivers. So I would proceed with extreme caution.I know that the Studio Display didn't play particularly well with PCs when it was first released - has that situation improved any? Anyone using these for both a Mac and a PC on their desk?
That being said the instructions on this page are completely correct: https://gist.github.com/akshayverma1/27c5d6e803d809f6d1298548ad821444
if you do it this way youll be completely fine. Do not do what I did which is be lazy and just try to run the install.
