People saying iOS7 was a mistake should realise that many said the same when Mac OS X and the iMac were revealed.

Taking bold risks is why Apple succeeds.

Without Ive, Apple is finished. Cook has proven he doesn't have the creative skills to lead Apple. Only the analytically skills - but that's not why people love Apple.

If Ive leaves, I really don't have any faith in Apple's ability.

Making a wearable device that detects my heat beats isn't something I would buy from Apple.

Maybe they were updating the tilt of his head.

Not to be the bearer of bad news but Apple has been in a downward spiral for over a year (probably longer). Their marketing team is brilliant though and they are still profitable but the leader at the top isn't someone concerned with delivering the best and most innovative products and sooner or later it's all down hill. No company stays at the top forever, it's just business.

California has NO new marriage laws. The last one to be passed by the people was Prop 8. I'm not being political, I'm just stating facts.
(Facts with political spin.) California law was recently changed by the courts, which ruled a previous change unconstitutional and invalid. In legal jargon, this is new case law, which is just as much "the law" as legislation or a referendum or an executive order would be.

Love that this is 'newsworthy' I swear apple does this kind of ***** to mess with people on rumour sites. It's on every one! Hilarious.

Please do that one more time.

Two possible explanations:

1) Jony wanted his image removed in order to make the page look more balanced with an even number of images; now that it's back, the page looks bad because there is an odd number of executives listed.

2) Jony was drinking in a bar with his friend who happens to run the website, lamenting that nobody cares about him. His friend says "naw bro, I'll show you how much people care, just see what happens when I remove your picture." Then the internet panics and Jony looks on with a tearful smile.

I think more likely he was miffed when everyone started rolling their eyes and snickering when he unveiled his design for a super minimalist white courier font on white background look. Ives: well if it's like that then I'm going home to England where I've become a household name on Blue Peter. Cook: See if I care, ducks. Siri, remove Jonny Ives from our webpage. A few hours later at airport Ives gets SMS with youtube link from Cook's secretary: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruT7MUQ42aQ&feature=kp Jonny (teary-eyed to pet hamsters): it's going to be alright chaps…

I cannot picture Jony Ive working for any other company but Apple.

He has "Steve Jobs" status now. Hope he remains at Apple forever.

They are testing to see the reactions. Also, they stated they didn't want to merge iOS UI and OS X UI... hmmm... The suspicious mind will draw conclusions.

Ive approved the iOS7 design, the first copycat of windows yet, in order to Apple to fire him, it will be a big cash out. He has been working outside Apple to much, sign that he wants to resign.

</conspiracyTheory>

...mistake. You don't remove a guy who has been pivotal in some of the greatest Apple successes.

Not really. One guy you shouldn't remove is the one guy the company can't do without. Being pivotal on the greatest successes does not mean you are not replaceable. They gave you a difficult job and you did it well, ok. That doesn't mean someone else couldn't have done the same job or even better.

Citation needed. I've had a non-compete contract in CA so please, cite your source (recent) or edit your comment.

Probably more than you'll want to read through. In short, not illegal, but also not easily enforceable. (Read: whoever has the better lawyer likely wins here)

How did apple stock react on overseas markets?

Sounds like someone got paid and regulators need to look into it
