Apple Sydney Store Unveiled, Opens June 19th

Wow.Im in NYC and i thought our store was a thing of beauty(it is).This thing is a work of art.Congrats Sydney!

Yeah we've got two around here but they're both broom cupboards compared to that. Even the photo was taken to make it look bigger than it is.

What do they put in all the space in those huge stores? ipods are pretty small...

I know! (I live in Manchester too).

I wish they had taken out a larger unit in the Triangle or something... more like the Glasgow Store... we have 2 in Manchester, but I'd rather have one bigger more impressive store.

Yup, I know what you mean! That could easily be the Meadowhall store with regards to its size...
 
Will I be alive to see an Apple Store in Brazil ?

Well, even if they decide to open a store, it will not be pretty.
I can not imagine how many times they will need to wash
these glass/metal walls every week to keep the Apple's beauty standards.

It's the first flagship store for the continent. It has to be big and impressive.

Plus, you've got more than a few stores around. They'll have one store within several thousand miles.

It looks very similar to the new store they just opened up in Boston (which is another enormous, and very beautiful, store). Congrats to Sydney for being lucky enough to have one like the one we just got.
 
Nice, but was there anyway they could have give it more glass? ;) It just appears too private... :rolleyes:

I thought the store in Chicago was a little too big, and that only has two floors. This thing is massive, be sure not to go with a friend or girlfriend. Your sure to lose them.

that's what Cell phones are for. :cool: Oh, if you can get a signal inside of the building :rolleyes:

They probably have like SUPER BLOCKAGE systems to block any cell phones other than the iphones.
 
Just drove by George Street

I just got back from George Street (Location of Apple Store Sydney). And this store is just awesome.
Its 4 am here and i saw a few people unpacking boxes with a security guard up front.... as much as i'd like to believe it was for the iPhones i highly doubt it, mustve been a stocktake of already existing products.

Whats interesting is the glass wall, it seems as though Apple managed to get permission to erect this glass wall using up a bit of space of the walkway. if you compare the store next to it the glass wall apparatus sticks out about a meter or so.... simply awesome, though i have to admit that the 5th ave glass cube is still the best (never seen it in flesh yet,,,)

does anyone know is apple is gonna be giving out free stuff this thursday, at the opening??

This is our flagship though it had to be huge.
I work about a few blocks down the road from this store, cant wait till thursday.
Also, a few of my mates and people i work with are all aware of this store and are in awe of it. oh boy the sales are gonna be huge, apple is gonna win a lotta converts.

:) that equates to more sales, go AAPL
