No camera? No multitasking? Looks like a picture frame as well lol.

But I wouldn't mind having one.:)

But that's what Apple are brilliant at doing. The Apple TV, the iPods, the iPhones, they're all about locking you in and making a residual return from the consumer. What's completely baffling to me is that so many people expect something else. Apple is Sony pronounced differently. Simple as that - and I'm a fully-fledged Apple consumer.

I think you have a good point, this has been staring me in the face for some time. I've clearly been in denial over it.

I really want to hear about 4.0 on the iPhone. Right now that's way more interesting to me than this thing.

Jobs ragged netbooks so much, but I have a Dell Mini 10v right here doing far more than this thing. I cannot see a reason AT ALL to purchase yet.

E-book reader yadda yadda. The bookshelf interface is cute, though.

Honestly can't believe they went with iPad over iSlate.

This is nothing but a big iPhone. Why would any iPhone user (millions of them) want one? There is no ground breaking feature.

As the resident tablet skeptic, I would like to be the first to introduce the iPad to Segway.

There you go FB's.... you got a big iPod touch.

This thing should have been released BEFORE the iPhone/iTouch. In fact, their release date should have been switched.

People would have been impressed with the iPad had it been released 3 years ago, and say by this year they reveal the iPhone - similar to iPad but in much smaller form, we will be impressed once again.

Now they are doing it backwards.

Agreed. The iPod touch is smaller (meaning more portable) and cheaper. If this device is $400-$500, it may be saved, but otherwise I'm guessing we have another Apple TV here. Something that will sell, but in limited quantities.

iBooks?

Can you say "Classics"??????
