Even if they have to Give In, they've now gotten the kind of attention they would NEVER have gotten otherwise !
Before all the youngsters enter. They need to do this to defend their own logo. Go read law.
Personal opinions don't matter. Just like on any university assignment. You are just quoting already said research or judgements that you just happen to agree with. Apple is seeking to have such a judgement handed down so they can agree with it. (or disagree and then take a trip to the appeals court). To everyone stating that the logos are obviously different, and that there is no confusion, that is the point of the suit— to confirm that the court agrees with you.
you’d be surprised at how confusing it can be for 60-70 year olds to tell the difference
Quick reality check: They're gonna send them a letter of gratitude instead because of all the free publicity.I hope [..] that this company counter-sues for damages.
First they came for the banana trademarks, and I did not speak out -Look up trademark law and the result of not defending this.
Apple (or any company in a similar situation) must do this to defend their mark.
Very doubtful. Seniors 60-70 years old can go supermarket shopping and tell the difference between fruits they want to buy.

Apple's Notice of Opposition v. Super Healthy Kids, Inc. | Smartwatch | Computer Network
Apple's notice of opposition against a trademark filing by Super Healthy Kids, Inc. for the logo of its "Prepear" connected cooking app and service. Apple says the Prepear logo is too similar to its own iconic logo.www.scribd.com
Oh look, free publicity for a small company that nobody has ever heard of before and nobody would have ever heard of if not for that legal stunt. What a coincidence...
Yes and bring a product to the market with one of those logos and you’ll find yourself sued. I think I mentioned in an earlier post that Apple must defend their trademark or they lose it. In case you missed that post just so you know Apple must defend the trademark or they lose itSearch minimalist fruit logo and you'll see hundreds of minimalist fruit illustrations with angled leafs 🤦🏻♂️

Agreed it’s a shame that the system is set up that way. Apple really doesn’t care if someone is selling an unrelated product with a similar logo. They know no one will confuse the two brands.Sounds anything but “free”.
The system is broken. Apple has to do this, and small companies are hurt. No one wins.
Or, you know, they took inspiration from nature, where leaves appear next to fruit all the time. Would it be different if the leaf was going in the other direction? Or does Apple now own all iconography featuring leaves near fruit? No; from an artist’s standpoint, whomever created that pear logo used another company’s logo as inspiration - specifically for the leaf, and got a little too close to copyright infringement.
Look up trademark law and the result of not defending this.
