they do. I can make my 3GS drop bars easily in bad coverage areas (my bb curve too). But the problem isn't as bad AND it's not as obvious because there isn't a carefully marked spot.

Also, the antenna was located at the back, not on the side.

It's amazes me that there is so much fear amongst the Android fanboys. Why are they so paranoid? Could it be that they know Apple will always produce better products and it's becoming evident that customers simply aren't listening to them?

So, they'll squeal as much as possible. Actually, they did manage to lift a non-issue to a ridiculous level, but that's all done now. As Linux proved, you can't just throw a junk OS out to the masses and expect quality products.

Oh, I do thank Android for killing off WinMo, but I'm sure Apple could have done it without help.

Just like Microsoft killed Apple. Oh wait, Microsoft gave Apple a cash injection to save their butt. Would Mr. Jobs have done that if the shoe was on the other foot?

Apple is trying to tell people like you the simple facts by demonstration. Chill out.

But its not a fact. I'm typing this on a droid x right now and can't replicate what happened in that vid. I only have this phone because i had to return an iPhone 4 after it kept losing all signal and hanging up on people due to a bad sensor.

Apple can screw off. Its like dealing with an angry spoiled child at this point. Im done.

Morons. Run!

When iPhone loses bars they cry murder! When droid loses bars, it's apple's pettiness. I get it. :D

If the iPhone doesn't rock for you, go stroke a droid or nibble a nokia. Simple. If you don't get that, well GFY pathetic selves

Wow, if you have no response, try manipulating history. That is truly pathetic.

What a waste of time... again

Return the phone (wanna bet you won't?). Get the Droid (wanna bet you won't?). Be happy (wanna bet you won't?). Simple, really. Very.

This is real class, Apple.

Not only does no one actually hold their phone like that, I couldn't get that to happen to a number of X's.

What did apple do to get the phone to go into that mode? There's no 3G or even 1X displayed and it shows 4 bars. What are they not showing us here? What else is interfering? This smells and I don't like it one bit.

Apple is looking more like the guy on the forums that won't stop arguing with you. He will just keep spamming and spamming until you get so tired of what he/she is saying you just get turned off. This is how Apple is behaving now.

My respect for Apple has gone down the drain since the Antenna press conference. Trying to blame other companies for their own mishaps is creating a lot of enemies and attempting to put other mobile phone companies into the mix when they shouldnt be involved.

Apple should be completely ashamed of themselves. How stuck up can they be? I am a beloved iPad owner but all this nonsense will diminish Apple's brand. No wonder why theres so many apple haters out there... Because of behavior like this.

Sounds a little like the first line of your post, lets look back.

" The guy on the forums that won't stop arguing with you. He will just keep spamming and spamming until you get so tired of what he/she is saying you just get turned off."

You really are a Hater, With all the proof and all the facts, you still are so blinded by your hate you can't see anything but "Red".

This "Disassociated Defense" you suffer from is a love for a different brand of product and though as much as you try to add to the argument, you have twisted the Proof and evidence of facts into a Pithier of Very Descriptive Personal Feeling's post while not bringing any evidence of fact to the discussion.

1.) So you personally got your feelings hurt by Apples proof of Evidence showing the other Phone Manufactures have lied.

2.) Now your angry that Apple has the proof that shows them not alone, this upsets you so much it's not fair that Apple can be so good at defending itself.

3.) By Now you are completely outraged by the damming evidence Apple has shown that exonerates them from being alone with an Attenuation problem, but the other manufactures said it did not exist with their product's.

4.) Slipping into your own safe reality where even the Proof of evidence could not engage a brain cell to even think that Apple was correct, not caring in facts truth or evidence, you keep believing that Apple is still the only company that has the problem of Attenuation.

Now Back in the real world, we understand that you can't function on Blind hatred, and this is a demise that all will succumb to if not properly put into check.

Oh the Humanity of factual Proof is so hurtful, Listen, sit down and have a cookie it will be all right, the sky is not falling chicken little and tomorrow will be a new day.

P.S. Saying you own a iPad is real easy, Hell I own a "insert product here ," Trying to Justly validate your posts by trying to convince others you are an Apple user, Come on that's the oldest giveaway of intent ever.

Only singled sided closed minds with a direct agenda Validate by adding that type of Foundation before a brutal slaughter as you so demonstrated.

They are sure going out of their way to find the exact spot where there is bad network coverage.

Apple sure is acting like a sore little kid. No, the iPhone 4 signal issue really isn't that bad, these reports are really out of control.

But for years they lied in their Mac vs. PC ads, and when the tables are turned they can't handle it.

Karma. :)

Are you in a week signal area, you have to be in a week signal for phones to do it, at least that’s been my experience.

It's a problem on a small percentage of iPhones. Not all. More than the 1/2% Steve said probably, but not a huge problem. Probably a QC problem at the factory on a production run or two. With so many people saying they cannot duplicate the issue, I think it's pretty clear it's not on all iPhone 4's, but for the ones that have it it's a pain in the ass. The bumper will help if they don't want or cannot return. They have probably already fixed the issue and the ones coming down the pike will not need the bumper. Another reason it's risky to be an early adopter. Crap like this shouldn't happen, even on a small percentage of units, but it does.

We can't fix it so we'll attack our competitors.

Apple continues their pettiness--I think maybe it's time for Jobs to leave.

Apple is doing this because of the huge threat of Android.

Android is eating Apple's lunch in the smart phone market and soon the tablet market.

When you are scared and desperate you take desperate measures--just what this is.

Here's the thing, everyone else has Ben playing dirty with their videos ofthe iPhone 4. Apple fights back and now everyone considers Apple to be the beast. Apple is fighting fire with fire.

Apple created their nightmare with their indifference to the issue.

I have used 4 cell phones non-stop since 1997 and NONE, including my 10 month old iPhone 3GS, HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM!
That's good to know - perhaps most never really paid attention to general cell phone attenuation before the media fest.

Are your statements based on experiences with your iPhone 4?

Is it a problem for you?

I've been using one for a month now, and have had few issues with reception and/or dropped calls, much better performance than the 3GS, overall.

....people don't scream at things that happen normally in life.
Yet, how else would the media stay viable?

Shheeeeez. Apple...either fix the problem (not a bumper WORKAROUND thank you very much) or be sure this never happens again in your future iPhone releases.
Surely, they're continuing to evaluate and study the situation, while working on additional solutions - 30 days, and counting....

...unable to admit a design flaw and a simple promise to fix it or at least promise it won't happen again.
Design flaw to you, dramatic improvement for many here, especially for those who actually own one.
