Next week returning iphone4, switch back to my old phone until apple gets the fix

I think you might be waiting until iphone 5, which wont have the cracks.

yawn. people waste too much time arguing about this. i enjoy my iphone end of story lulz

If everyone here was like you this forum would be over run with android users making topics about how cool it is that their 2 and a half pound cell phone can use a video background.

you haters/bashers are incredible. Apple is showing us how this behavior belongs basically to all phones, but you keep ignoring everything, like a 4 years old boy, eyes shut, hands over the ears and screaming "bah ... bah ... bah ... I can't hear you !!!":eek::eek:

There is NOTHING TO FIX, there is NOTHING FLAWED in th iphone 4. It's just a technical choice: better signal to noise ratio.

...until Apple gives us the ability to use live wallpaper and widgets. Then it will be revolutionary.

Glad to know that you're acknowledging that you're a Fandroid on a forum that discusses Apple products and that product in question being the iPhone 4. Must be boring over the Droid X forum since they haven't sold 3 million in less than 30 days and they don't have hundreds of people in every country waiting in line for it. ;)

I would be curious how many of those 3 million were first time customers or those upgrading. My guess would be around 2,998,543. Second apple could sell 3 million turds with the letter I infront of it in 30 days.

Nothing to fix? How many phones do you know that drops singal on a TOUCH? And why are Apple giving away free cases again???

I do not understand. Are people on here really that.........okay I'm not going to say it. From day one Apple has been ridiculously bashed over and over again about its issue and all its trying to do is pretty much self-defense. Apple isn't making any mockery out of anyone but just telling what it is to protect its products and for you idiots to understand. But instead Apple is getting backlash by these companies using it as their advantage when really advantage goes to no one. If you ask me, Motorola crossed the line and now deserve to be exposed because they use that to campaign its product while making a mockery Apple. Payback is a b***!

I really think it was SJobs "Your holding it wrong response" that hurt. If they would have responded in a more professional way this would have been a blip on the radar. Look at the Droid X screen issue. Motorola / Verizon admitted and addressed it.

Apple is a very secretive company and it came back to bite them on the PR front. Also, I think they continue the attack because SJobs is taking this personally.

Some say they admitted and addressed with bumpers. If this was truly the case, why continue the forward attack?

WTF did u just say!? A terrible job if you were trying to explain something.

Funny thing is, Consumer reports did not recommend any other phones.

Umm, yes they did. They recommended many other phones. Of AT&T phones, they recommended the 3GS, for one, along with the Palm Pre. For other carriers, they recommended a couple of Android and Blackberry products. Interestingly, the highest rated non-Apple phone was the HTC Evo 4G (recommended), with a rating of 74...the same as the 3GS.

Grasping at straws. Do they honestly think they are fooling anyone? And look at the way they have to hold the phone to make it go down. Talk about DEATH grip. I'm surprised the plastic casing didn't crack.

Are you serious? Hyperbole much?

Who's they?? The consumer some in the media?
I didn't see nokia, motorola, HTC, etc making any videos. Pot shots from motorola maybe. But no dirty videos from any manufacturers.

Apple’s just doing what a responsible media should have done. If you notice, the media hasn’t picked up on any of these new stories. The media essentially dropped this after the press conference, because there is no juicy story to report on. The media doesn’t care about the truth, but only what makes a good story, and these videos of other phones don’t make a good sensationalistic story, because no one cares about these phones. As long as we keep hearing “iPhone killer” the iPhone will be the story. That’s just the way it is.

All that being said, I’d like all this to go away, so that people could just concentrate on using the iPhone 4. All these threads do is bring out all the iPhone detractors/trolls and the Apple fanboys, and I’m sick of it.

Are you confused?

I'm confused that you quote my ENTIRE post, and then post such a ridiculous question.

If you do not know how to quote context, don't use the quote feature of this site.

If you care to re-state your question with more context and clarity while also quoting a SPECIFIC section of my post, feel free and I will reply.

It's amazes me that there is so much fear amongst the Android fanboys. Why are they so paranoid? Could it be that they know Apple will always produce better products and it's becoming evident that customers simply aren't listening to them?

It's a good question. There's plenty of fandom out there on the Web for a wide range of companies and products, but I have to say the Android Army has taken fanaticism to new heights. Just try to say something positive about the iPhone or negative about Android on Engadget and see what happens.

Oh, I do thank Android for killing off WinMo, but I'm sure Apple could have done it without help.

I can't wait to see the Winbots go mano a mano with the Fandroids when Windows Phone 7 hits the market. Which mediocre mobile OS slapped on a bewildering array of hardware will win the day? No one knows, but one thing we know for sure: it's gonna get noisy!

This must be Apple's new Public Urination On the Competition marketing campaign.

This will surely win some ADDYs and CLIOs!

Dear Apple;
Please stop this amateur behavior. Look in the mirror and be honest. Treat your customers with some respect and intelligence. It will only benefit your business.

Doctored Ad

I don't know if this was mentioned but the phone in the ad does not display the proper verizon icons in the top bar there should be either a 3g or 1x icon showing what network the phone is on. Makes you wonder what apple had to do to doctor this phone.

I just switched from ATT to Verizon (3GS to Droid x). I will say this, the droid is a lot more reliable. I really feel it is the iphone not ATT. I had a blackberry curve on ATT prior to my iphone and I could use in in many places most don't get any service i.e. basements, elevators, medically shielded walls etc. When I got my Iphone I routinely experienced dropped calls.

I also switched from ATT because they wouldn't upgrade me to a iphone 4 at the lowest price. Got my 3GS on launch day and have spent 300.00 plus a month for 7yrs with ATT, yet someone with a solo plan 1 yr old qualified for an early upgrade. Took my lumps paid my early termination fees, my verizon rep. gave me a credit for the amount of my termination fees in addition to my rebates on new phones (thats customer service).

Still love my mac computers but no longer supporting iphone and getting ticked off at apple not owning up to their faults.

This is like watching a funeral procession. Each nerd is mourning the death of their favorite Android phone. They really thought that they had finally escaped judgement. But, here it comes, SJ drives a stake in the heart and it's dead. Android has just ceased to exist. It will keep trying to suck a little blood, but everyone knows it's over.

you're still a gimp

Because they are still being attacked and they are just hitting back.
I liked his email, I think he was right and the truth hurt!

Hadn't really thought about that, but you're right. It's going to be like split personality for Fandroids. Perhaps I'll just listen to the din.
