It's likely the Beatles. I've been saying that from the start. There are only so many things that would cause Apple to do this.

Badfinger

Beatles tomorrow folks. BTW.. I bet not many of you even noticed that iTunes recently added the "Badfinger" Apple records catalog to iTunes. Those records have never been on iTunes before. Well, they are now which proves the Apple battle is over....

If it's the beetles.... I would be so pissed. Why would apple say it is a day to remember unless they are going to be announcing something incredible technology related?

No, I am not. It IS The Beatles tomorrow...forget about anything else apart from perhaps some cloud/lossless/90-sec previews announcement.

The WSJ is notorious for being wrong about this sort of thing.

The Beatles on iTunes is definitely not something I'll never forget. If that is the the only announcement tomorrow, all it's going to do is make me sad.

I've got the real story, no one else has picked up!!!

iTunes will now promote my iPhone app on its front page!

You will never be frustrated by crosswords again!

(Shameless plug - but what the heck. With 715 posts on this thread, who's going to be offended?)

Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away...

lala.com relaunch as an iTunes.com service? That would be pretty noteworthy.

Beatles would be great for the likely ~0.00001% of us who didn't just rip their albums to iTunes already.

What's with all the Beatles talk?

"Just Another Day" is an apocalyptic Oingo Boingo song.

"It's just another day / There's murder in the air
It drags me when I walk / I smell it everywhere
It's just another day / Where people cling to light
To drive away the fear / That comes with every night"

I think we are actually going to see the final shift from supposed feel good hippyish, now hipsterish, Apple into Big Brother apple. The woman running at the Big Brother screen will be subdued before she can throw the hammer and this odd time stream we are in will be corrected.

No, no paradox there - once everything is put right.

Because the release of the Beatles isn't the part we'll remember -- it's the start of iTunes streaming, i.e., you'll never forget load a certain song on your iDevice again, that we'll tell the grandkids about, or so the theory goes.

Also what if the Beatles are available on iTunes tomorrow BUT only via streaming subscription, not purchase of individual song.

Well that is what TechCrunch is suggesting, sorta.

I think that The Beatles on iTunes makes sense...new music is typically posted on Tuesdays and the other clues make sense.

Honestly, do you really think that Apple would roll out something as major as a subscription service or cloud iTunes service without a major live event featuring Steve Jobs (complete with the reality distortion field)?

I think that perhaps a service like that is imminent but tomorrow is not a big as people want it to be.

Beatles? I doubt they'd hold a major event for that...? I mean, they're okay, but I can't see a major announcement to peddle their crap...

Haha! :D one of the funniest posts i've read. Though i agree about them not holding a major event just for the beatles on iTunes.

Im off to search for some "Real" music, any suggestions neffy? how about lady gagga? :D wait even she is influenced by "crap"...hmm non crap must mean country. I cant think of any other popular music that wouldnt be influenced by the beatles.

Well, it could be a number of things that could warrant some excitement:

- 90 second song previews
- Subscription, Cloud
- iOS 4.2... ;);)

On that note, I know we'll all be watching to see what Apple's "unforgettable" announcement :)
