I do like the little touch that the date on the phone is Today's (June 3).

Although if they were really clever they would have set the date as June 29 and not given us the release date at the end!

Video is only in landscape only. I watched the Keynote again earlier today, a little bored, I know...

It was before the link was up; most people do not read through the entire thread to look for information; therefore I believe it is necessary.

BTW you spelled "necessary" incorrectly.

i was talking about the font size.

yeh i know i never could spell that...necessary? necesarilillly? :)

Right on, just wait till tomorrow once the news and blogs picks up on the release date.

Dammit, I really wanted to pick one up while I was over at San Francisco for WWDC, alas, I come back to London on the 23rd. I was hoping I could use it in "offline" mode as an iPod and a wi-fi browser/e-mail client until they had signed in the UK.

Developer pre-sale? Well, one can dream. :)

Wow, those ads are cool! Shame about the voiceover accent.
The whole of America is gonna go crazy for the iPhone after seeing these adverts. I think these ads are great for those not to into all things tech (average people), to realise that the things the iPhone does will be handy for them, not just business men and nerds/geeks.
Anyway, just watching these adverts has made me remember why I will sell my soul to get an iPhone! Well not quite sell my soul, but, you know what i mean.

I meant to make it large because that way it would attract those that don't read through the entire thread...should have clarified that point sorry. :D

BTW- highlight a word, right click, and OS X will tell you system-wide what the correct spelling is (in text fields). Nothing appears at the top if it is correct.

Have just watched all 3 ads. Wasn't sure after the first but now I am - very sweet. I like the fact that this is positive advertising demonstrating genuine product functionality. All you see is the phone doing everything it should and everything people will want from it - yes it would be nice to have a document reader and other things, but what you see there is what most people want and it looks great.

Exactly! Hell, the Mac commercials only show a brief glimpse of the computer. Just show Expose and I know a lot of Windows users that would switch right away.

Touch screen devices take a while to get used to. I wonder how many takes it took and how long the model was given to familiarise himself with the phone. That's one very lucky guy.

I'm genuinely excited for you guys. This product really means a lot for apple and I really want it to be everything it promises to be and more.

Yeah, I was definitely expecting multi-touch to show up somewhere. But it's not entirely surprising given that the ads are showing the baseline simplicity of the device.

To that end, Calamari is my favorite. It shows how the device works together to supposedly make life simpler. It's a really great ad.

"Did someone say Calamari?"
"The closest would be..."
"Ah."

EDIT: And, oooh, pinstripes in the Google Maps info section. Very nice. I love seeing the iPhone up close.

Lol. Just watched the third one. After reading "June 29" for the third time, I look to the TV and there it is again!

I am a current Cingular uh AT&T subscriber. I just cruised their website for contract info for iPhone. There's nothing there but a little advert for iPhone.

They could NOT have a comercial where the hand model types with his or her middle finger, but most of us will when we get our iPhones. Esecially in the direction of some poor PC user. --m!m

Am I the only one who thinks that maybe June 29 ISN'T the official release date? It seems like June 29 is a good date to be able to put on the commercial so that the iPhone is seen as definitely coming soon, but it could still be released early. If steve Jobs came onstage at WWDC, and announced the iPhone shipping "today", I know I would not be angry that it is coming out early. Maybe Apple + At&T simply wanted to start ads before the launch, to hype it up even more (not that it needs it :p )

haha

Nice!

I do see your point about not being able to do that - the hand would block the camera angle from being able to see all the coolness...

Can't wait until people start talking about their wpm speed on the iPhone - haha

for your skeptics & haters,

To my knowledge the New ATT has used the same advert company Apple has. This is to be consistent with advertising and promotion. Apple and the New ATT are working very hard together to match and accompany each other needs.

Beautiful and wonderful commercials. Very simple and effective. I could not ask for more. Well done.

Very very excited for this product. :)
