Complaint for iOS

Most people complaint about anything if you don't like something get a another device....... Just remember at least there is an update coming. other companies find anything wrong (android and win) mobile users get the finger when there is a glitch on their device and have to wait for some food update if it ever gets developed......... least they keep their software updated and fixes are released once discovered................

I CAN NOT ACCESS MY ITUNES MATCH LIBRARY on my ipad since the ios 6 upgrade! It's showing a cloud in the middle of the screen and the status bar below doesn't move. Does anyone else have this problem??? Does anyone know how to solve this BUG??? If so, please write to bodypainter (at) gmail.com thanks!

Ah

It is unbelievable that the HORRIBLE battery life problem gets no mention at all in the update! I have turned off LTE, wifi, iCloud, dimmed screen to less than 25%, turned off notifications, etc an tho phone WILL NOT last beyond 5.5 hrs usage, often dying at 4 hrs.. Unbelievable misrepresentation of battery life by apple and not even any acknowledgment that they are aware and working on it! I have already had my first iPhone 5 replaced and the new one is just as lousy as the first. WHY DOES THE UPDATE NOT ADDRESS THIS? Hundreds of pages on the apple.com forums on this. Disgusted with apple after loving them since the 3G. The 5 is worse than my 2 year old iPhone 4 in battery life - much worse! FIX YOUR LOUSY EQUIPMENT OR ADMIT YOU INFLATED YOUR STATS!

Run Carat - it will point out the battery hogging apps you are running.

Bring back google maps.
Remove the tacky colour changing status bars.
Fix or bring back the old app store.
Bring back the cloud icons and ability to delete individual songs in itunes match.
Remove the facebook & twitter icons from the share sheets. I'm not signed into either service in settings so I don't want to see the facebook & twitter breadcrums scattered around ios.

Imo iOS 6 is a weak update. Made a few things worse and unnecessary additions but with a handful of new decent features.

Fix 4s battery issues (trust me it's ridiculously) it seems Siri and iMap shares the whole battery capacity.
we need a map, definitely. don't know in other countries but in UK it's pretty scary, you end up with unexpected disaster if you rally on them during you cycling training

Is it 6.0.1 or 6.1? any difference? (for me, YES)

I hope it's atleast up to beta quality... iOS 6 has been the buggiest/glitchiest OS I've used in recent memory.

I think there is a bunch of trolls in this thread with all these fake ass complaints..."iOS sucks", "nothing works good", "theres glitches with everything"... The only issue that i have is the wifi issue where it drops maybe once or twice a day and they are fixing that in iOS 6.1, everything else for me work flawlessly and everything that I do on this phone flys. Android will never catch up to iOS unless Android "just works" and is "as smooth" as iOS, which I dont see happening for a while. iOS app store is superior to Google Play in every way, apps are made first on iOS which explains why its better

The old App Store was better.... Browsing everything, including Purchases, scrolling is slow and jerky at times.

The only thing i like about it, is the pop-up, sadly not enough details in the purchases section. So, hopefully either fix, or ditch.

Big cookie....

I agree with all the above and fix crash when checking out Purchased!

How so? I have not encountered any bugs or glitches so far besides that line in the keyboard that i probably get maybe once every two weeks, which by the way is being fixed in iOs 6.0.1

There's the keyboard glitch
iTunes match sometimes doesn't update until I do a soft reset
I have to hit "retry" download multiple times when downloading updates for my apps
UI will just hang and not respond to anything from time to time

I'm quite tolerant of bugs and workarounds and fully aware that technology is not perfect, that sometimes glitches happen even on the best of products. In iOS6 however, they are happening often enough that they're a nuisance.

Or we just aren't the apple fanboys you are... That could be it too.

You "only have" a wifi issue. The other guy I responded to before you "only has a keyboard issue" so is he lying? You seem to imply that your problem is the complete list, and if you don't have the issue, than no one does. If your claim isn't that he is lying, then we have a keyboard and a wifi glitch at the minimum. Is it inconceivable that some other person may have both these issues and perhaps a third? It can easily and quickly add up to being a frustrating experience. Not to mention, if your issue was the only issue, iOS 6.01 update notes would be quite short.

Weird, did you restore from a old iPhone when you got your 5? That is usually the reason why people experience glitches and bugs. The UI has never hanged on me ever. That is extremely weird

Oh god yes, iTunes match in iOS6 is shockingly bad. Almost unusable.

I totally agree. That and Apple Maps are the reason I downgraded back to ios5.1.1 I hope that it's fixed in ios6.1, and that Apple Maps has major improvements (especially adding public transit), and then I'll upgrade back. The only thing that sucked about downgrading is I don't have Do Not Disturb on my phone, and the new tones

Mine is good too. I keep forgetting to bring my charger to work because I hate seeing my battery at 50%, but even at 50% It'll still last. Sometimes, I stay at my moms and before bed time Im' at 40% but when I wake up at six am I still have 20%.. before with the iphone 4, my phone would be dead.. I don't freak out as much anymore if I don't have a charger. :apple:

This battery-gate stuff is silly. It's just like the signal strength bars stuff on the i4. All Apple needs to do is to recalibrate the indicator to show that the battery has charge, and everybody will stop carping about it.

It is just the indicator calibration. The battery life is fine. The software update will confirm that.

Im not talking about the people who experience known bugs, im talking about the people who are completly talking down on iOS

please fix iTunes Match and bring back the delete a song button, its become utterly useless on iOS6

I agree - I see no reason to have changed it. Its broken to me at the moment and very frustrating.

Sucks that there is no mention of bluetooth streaming to car stereos being messed up since the update... can't control the iPhone with my car stereo, and no track info is being received by the unit either... oh well that sounds like 6.1 will fix that...
ios6 fixed my car connection problems...

What source is telling us that Apple is "in carrier testing" for 6.0.1? since when do carriers test or approve dot releases (or dot dot releases) of APPLE os updates?

The phone goes from full charge to total shutdown in 4-5.5hrs use, with every feature disabled (iCloud, notifications, LTE, dimmed to 25%, browsing an email use ONLY). I really hope you are correct, but this is not simply a percentage reading: IT DIES. Maybe they can find a way to make it get the 8hrs browsing they claim. If they have any interest in solving they are silent about it. The techs ive talked to at apple and the people in the store agree it is a problem and im not getting close to spec, and only can suggest i replace, restore, reinstall etc, all of which ive done to no effect. And for the idiot claiming it is trolls, look on the apple forums, where the complaints are tied to apple ID. I love the phone other than the battery life that makes it a real problem to charge during the day. I lined up on opening day for it, and it is a flat fact that the battery sucks. i have screenshots of every time i reached 1% battery an the usage is from 3.5 to 5.5 hra with features stripped. The iphone 4 did not require this- I am using NO features to get this bad life, where the 4 lasted longer and i had everything on! I have also had the camera flash sync error, so hurray for that fix, but I'd tolerate that for the life I the phone if the battery life would even occasionally reach their advertised levels.

I've done it both ways. Every UI hangs from time to time. It's just more frequent with iOS 6 than it was on iOS 5

I'm surprised there are as many problems with WiFi simply because when I took my wife's 4S to the Apple store two weeks ago for this issue they had never heard of this. The Apple store gave her a new phone immediately.

I would love for apple to fix the Facebook calendar glitch. I can not turn off birthday notifications in the notification center.

A much better integration would make me happier.

That and ATT actually launching the bloody LTE service in Minnesota.

I think apple is doing one hell of a job innovating for us, and I appreciate all the hard work that is going into these projects that we honestly have no clue how bloody hard it is to create.

Can you also fix the AppStore.. I honestly like the old one better.. This new one lags and stuff plus just doesn't look as good as the old one. But we all know that wont happen.. Just please fix the crappy scrolling in tho AppStore please :)

Run Carat - it will point out the battery hogging apps you are running.

I get over 8 hours usage with LTE enabled, brightness at 50% and facebook notifications on with moderate to decently heavy usage.. Am I missing something here?
