Lots of people myself included haven't even considered an iPhone because it's too small. My fingers aren't small enough.

There is only one problem with options, accessories. With limited options we get a very strong accessory market. The more options we have, the more fragmented the offerings. This is why the iPhone has some of the best accessory options over all those other guys (Galaxy Sx users are starting to get some of this...but still not as strong).

really.. now the arguments gonna be accessories? the galaxy line is doing just fine.

people want a bigger phone. simple as that.

as an iOS developer that has created both games and apps... i just want to smash my keyboard right now :( I'm all for a bigger size but the amount of work and extra cost for graphics that have to go into supporting different screen sizes is a pain in the butt. oh well, hope the discontinue some screen sizes.

Since it says apple is now more open to larger screens, does this mean Jobs stopped the enlargement of the iPhone?
I really hope they seriously reconsider the enlargement project. Maybe they can put the large screen on the cheap, plastic phone, while the premium model has a more reasonable screen size.

reminds me of the macbooks -

iPhone C = MacBook
"iPhone /5" = MacBook Pro/ "Pro"

comes in 3 sizes akin to 13/15/17 inch laptops

iPhone 6 = inches ?

The 5C and 5S are all but confirmed for the 10th so I wouldn't get your hopes up for a larger phone this year. Think iPhone 6 sometime mid-2014.

.....and I hope that they never release it.

This is way too big for a phone. Sorry Apple, continue your innovations, there is no pressure!

Don't get rid of the smaller ones

I don't care if they offer bigger iPhones to compete, but I personally do not want one and would be very disappointed if they dropped the current size. I actually would love it if they offered an iPhone mini that was little more than a feature phone with tethering and a decent camera.

One of the reasons I still have my iPhone 4 is because I wasn't enamored with the larger screen on the 5 and, if not for the speed difference that both the newer CPU's and LTE radio provide, I would probably replace it's aging battery and keep it for another year or two.

That would be pretty sweet. I have an iPad mini and it actually feels too large and bulky. At the same time, my iPhone is somewhat readable, but not really. Some balance in between would be great.

No, no, no.

People have it all wrong. They're going to continue with the route they took with the iPhone 5. It will be a six-inch screen, alright, but it will be the same width.

(Sorry for the crappy quick-and-dirty Photoshopping.)

They'll get flamed for "following Android" but there is no shame in reviewing the facts and revising your stance on a given topic. It is the stubborn fool who should be ashamed when he knows he is wrong and does not give.

That being said, I'll stick with the 4in for the foreseeable future. :)

I think it would be a mistake if the larger-screen iPhones are the only high-end devices (the way Samsung treats their lineup). I'd like the option to keep the same 4" screen but with the high-end processors. I don't like bigger phones. If they can narrow the bezel or use flexible technology to keep the footprint the same that's one thing, but we don't need an "iPhone Note."

I'm sorry, but I don't understand how people can look at that picture and want a phone (!) the size of the left one.
