Please let this be true! I'd love to see the current two sizes, along with a larger size. Then the iPad mini, the original, and a larger version. I'd buy a larger screen iPhone on Day 1, repurpose my GS4 and never look back.

To anyone complaining about fragmentation, please do a little more homework. It's about a lot more than screen size.

Android manufacturers don't "treat their lineup" like this, they have no other choice. Adroid is just way to power-hungry and unefficient to build a small device with high-end specs and acceptable battery life.

Hmm. No, its not. My GS3 last all day and has around 75% battery left.

Might as well just stick a phone app and contract on an iPad mini. Don't care for this rumour, don't care for it one bit.

There are quite a few problems with going for a bigger screen as pointed out by Rene Richie in this article for iMore:
http://m.imore.com/imagining-5-inch-iphone

Either Apple will have to stretch out existing apps, or developers have to update their apps. Stretching is only going to work well if the screen resolution is 2x or maybe 3x that of the iPhone 5. Otherwise PPI would be sub-retina. And either way, old apps are going to look huge if stretched.

There aren't any easy solutions to this problem. Even for Apple.

Apple prototypes Android on iPhone 5. It sucks. Decided not to use it.

LATER THAT WEEK

Apple prototypes a 6" screen. *figure out the rest*

Actually, for me, yes.
Give us choices Apple, or risk continuing to lose marketshare to Android.

Tim listened to market re iPad mini. Tim actually said recently that larger iphone is not done because currently it will cause too many compromises. Meaning that its coming as soon as technology to do it properly is available.

From the previous rumour, the theory was scaling the 4" to 5" and lowering the pixel density to 264ppi from 326ppi. This would match with the current full sized iPad.

I think this is perfect. When have you ever heard someone complain that iPad retina not being sharp enough? No, it won't be as high as other phones at 1920x1080, but frankly the difference is negligible at that screen size...plus think about how much more battery life one can get!!

Finally Apple!

Having used my Galaxy S4 for two months now, I can say that it's an amazing device, and I'm in love with the 5" Full-HD display, as well as the 13mp camera. There is absolutely no comparison. Pictures, videos, web-pages, et.c. all look amazing on the GS4. For now, I believe it's the absolute best phone out there, together with the HTC One.

...That said, as a tool/productivity device - I'm having some small troubles embracing the GS4 into my work-flow. Our calendar at Uni won't sync with Android, and I miss the Apple eco-system, to some extent.

If Apple brings out a 4.7-5" iPhone 6, I'll be happy to return to iOS - but till then, I'll enjoy my GS4 and the openness of Android!
I'm most certain that the iPhone 6 will be the iPhone we've all been waiting for. I'm hoping for a gorgeous Full-HD display, 13mp high-quality sensor camera, and all-aluminum body reminiscent of the HTC One.
