Wow! The $4.99 is just a drop in the bucket when added to the 700 other subscription services, cable TV, cell phone service, &c., the average user pays out! Go for it! Long live subscription services! WooHoo!

And to think, I actually wasted my time a while back, like, reading books!

I wouldn't get my hopes up for a 50% off bundle. $29.99 for a family bundle seems reasonable.

I hear you, but the thing is: Apple knows that some of these services aren't going to be needed for many and they wouldn't purchase them without a steep discount.

Another potential option is for them to bundle Arcade, Music, and TV, without news to get to that lower price point.

Price is okay, but not without knowing what’s coming... no thx.

I suppose they will include stuff that nobody wants or everybody already has.

Ya I am pro bundle but a bundle without News would be even more appealing to me.

Can't compete with services like Steam for quality and depth. Don't waste my time anymore with boring repetitive grinding mobile games.

$4.99 per month is very affordable for a subscription service that provides access to dozens of games.

Is Tim Cook secretly working at MacRumors now? Is there a Jedi mind trick to go with that too? Jesus, we come here for the rumours and news, not for you to try and brainwash us into becoming Sheeple. $4.99 is nothing but when you add it to all the stupid number of subscriptions you realise you're spending a pretty massive amount each month on stuff you don't need.

In the end, it will depend on what kind of games are on the platform.
If the games are just similar to the free mobile games, Apple is going to compete with the "free" games on its own platform. Consumers will only compare the starting price, $4.99 a month vs free.

Now, if Apple can convince the big devs to produce AAA titles without IAPs on this $4.99 a month platform, then that will be a big deal.

Good pricing..

It's of no interest to me personally, but it's nice to see them price an attractive offering at a reasonable level for once.

I'd still like to see an Apple Music (Family), ATV+, News+, and Arcade bundle for like $29.99.
$29.99/month essentially translates to free Apple TV+, which I think will have to be priced closer to Apple Arcade ($4.99) as a standalone, at least for the time being (to better stand against Disney+'s launch).

While I think $29.99/month bundle is a extremely plausible guess, Apple needs to create lower priced bundle to get any decent traction. Apple needs to hit $9.99 to $14.99.month price point.

Good price point if the games are worth playing. Also how are the games going to roll on/roll off?

As a real gamer who cares more about PC/PS4/XONE this isn't too appealing for someone like myself. But having this for a family and guests readily available on something like an Apple TV is actually remarkably convenient. Very good price.

Ya I think dropping News from the bundle would be a good first step. It’s probably the one most people wouldn’t really use. I don’t see them going lower than $19.99 for ATV+, AM, and Arcade though.

Will there be one global, easy to read privacy policy for all apps under this service, or will each game app have it's own privacy policy?

Apple could mine all sorts of additional metrics from this service. As long it's all anonymous, I don't have a problem, and would not sue Apple Inc.

As a Graduate in the top 1% of the Udemy Law curriculum, I could provide assistance to any class action..

If they do $4.99/month or, even better, $50 for the year (similar to how they do $9.99/month or $99/year for Apple Music), I may very well do this.

I think that depends on whether you want News+. Apple doesn't have much room to discount News+, because they are dealing with publishers who have some negotiating power. Personally, I don't care about News+, and I find $30/month overpriced for the remainder of the package. I could see $15/month for the remainder; or even $20/month if they threw in some iCloud storage. I don't see ATV+ as something that would allow them to raise the prices of their existing subscription services, as much as another enticement to draw many more people into their subscription services. I do agree with you implication that bundling is attractive, and I think that is mostly how they are going to market ATV+.

If there is a bundle I hope iCloud is part of it.

You can’t afford not to subscribe at that price.

I wonder if Apple TV+ will be similarly priced? It’s looking like more of a bad idea as each day passes. Apple is too late to market with lots of strong aggressive players who are playing on their home ground - when Apple hasn’t got a clue about how to make content.
