I hear you, but the thing is: Apple knows that some of these services aren't going to be needed for many and they wouldn't purchase them without a steep discount.

Another potential option is for them to bundle Arcade, Music, and TV, without news to get to that lower price point.

I am hoping that is the near future. I have all of them and it would be great to have one monthly subscription for the family.

Can't compete with services like Steam for quality and depth. Don't waste my time anymore with boring repetitive grinding mobile games.

I suspect that the service will be firmly aimed at casual gamers - who are after all, the majority of gamers on iOS/Mac.

Ya I think dropping News from the bundle would be a good first step. It’s probably the one most people wouldn’t really use. I don’t see them going lower than $19.99 for ATV+, AM, and Arcade though.
One possible solution, which I admit is a long shot, is baking in long-forgotten $25/year iTunes Match into 200GB ($2.99) and 2TB ($9.99) iCloud storage plans.

Apple can then hit $9.99/month price point for 200GB iCloud, Apple Arcade, and Apple TV+ bundle, while giving the impression of Apple Music "lite".

Are we expecting to see an Apple TV update in September? I see the current Apple TV 4K with the A10X Fusion is coming up on being 2 years old. Not too bad, but their last three ATV releases have been about 2 years apart.

Ah yes, “The way of the Turtle” and “Hot Lava”, meanwhile Google has just announced Cyberpunk 2077 for Stadia. I really hope that Apple are doing an Apple and we get some actual games for this thing or it is going to suck so bad, regardless of price

how about those of us on a family Apple Music plan, will there be an higher tier to allow the family access?

Apple arcade? 5 bucks? I have a hunch the games are gonna be Snake, checkers, solitaire...

Look at the screenshot in the summary. Some 3d frogger game, some game called hot lava looks like some made up game kids play in real life.

Is Tim Cook secretly working at MacRumors now? Is there a Jedi mind trick to go with that too? Jesus, we come here for the rumours and news, not for you to try and brainwash us into becoming Sheeple. $4.99 is nothing but when you add it to all the stupid number of subscriptions you realise you're spending a pretty massive amount each month on stuff you don't need.
You don’t have to spend anything.

Not too bad, but Xbox Games Pass is only 10 and you get big AAA games for that.

I severely doubt it’ll include Gameloft and EA games.
$10 is twice the price of this and you can't put the Xbox in your pocket and carry it with you everywhere.

What price point would be reasonable in your mind?

I don’t think it’s particularly cheap for what it’s going to be. Xbox game pass costs 10 dollars and the quality and size of the games is not even close to what Apple Arcade will offer.

Apple Arcade will primarily be used on the AppleTV. You plan on adding a NAS for gaming assets, because that's what happens with games on Steam.

This is a good price. I remember having so much fun with mobile games before they became an IAP war zone. Angry Birds for 99 cents was a blast. I even had a lot of fun with the $10 Mario game before Nintendo went the IAP route. If this brings back that same experience, this will be an easy buy for me.

I'd still like to see an Apple Music (Family), ATV+, News+, and Arcade bundle for like $29.99.

Yes! This is what I would like to see. A media bundle for $30-$35. I'm in if this happens.

That’s a really good price, if it translates to £4.99 a month (in British pounds) its a no brainer for me, I’m in.
