This gotta be a joke android users get a fast charger free out of the box and and this money hungry campany called apple decides to charge 85$ for this? its bad enough the iphone x costs 1000$ and apple doesn't even give us choices for freebees when purchasing the phones like samsung does with their choices of gear 360 camera or free sd card and wireless charger. its time to jump ship to the note 8!

Capitals, punctuation and the correct positioning of the dollar symbol would make reading this a lot more pleasant.

what about any freebees just for purchasing the 1000$ iphone x like samsung does?
No such thing as free. It cost Apple to either make or have the charger. They aren't going to include it for free with the phone. The cost of said item is marked up like any other company.

A fast charger is not a requirement for the phone. It also would have made the cost of the phone higher.

Actually - yes!
Regarding the price tag of the new iPhone they should have incluced the MacBook charger - and the Macbook.
As some other post stated the profit margin of the X is actually lower than that of the 7 based on cost of parts etc. So tossing in extra "freebies" would actually lower their margin even more.

That said... when it's become the industry standard and even the low end Moto G includes a fast charger for the last few years it does look crappy of Apple to not provide one on their top tier phone. But as we all know... that's the cost of buying Apple.

they also don't include the dock and cleaning cloth anymore...wth apple.

/s

though i really miss the dock and the cloth was cool. i think i still have mine somewhere. other than that, my iPad charger will work fine for me.

Apple to charge $85 for their fast charger... where are you getting this from? is this one of their laptop chargers?

a 29W USB-C charger is $49 in the Apple store or the 18W charger for $35 from the Google Store. both are capable of fast charge for under $85

also, eighth iteration of iPhone now (excl. the S models) and it always comes in a white box, instructions, SIM tool, charger, and cable. putting the fairness of 'freebies' aside, what is included with the iPhone has been consistent for a decade now... is this still a surprise somehow?

No one is making you buy an iPhone. No one is making you buy Apple accessories.

By the way, punctuation is included in iOS FREE OF CHARGE! 😉

It’s $49 for the charger plus $25 for the USB C to lightning cable. AFAIK only the offical Apple USB C to lightning works.

what im saying is why cant apple incude a fast charger free in the box instead we gonna be stuck with a standard charger. why pay more money!
Same reason they got rid of the jack, more money in their pockets. As long as people keep buying this will continue ad nauseum.

So how does that explain companies like samsung including fast chargers for free in the box along with free choices of gear 360 camera, 128gig sd cards, and wireless charger stands when you sign up for it.

Because Android has a lot of competition so they need to entice people. Only Apple devices can run iOS, so if you want iOS you play by Apple's rules.

If Apple are going to exceed their production and struggle to keep up with demand for what could be months, why would they need to offer an incentive to buy one?

Another YouTuber who doesn't understand that premium accessories are not included for free. He also needs to look up the word "crime," as he clearly doesn't understand its correct meaning.

It would take way more for me to move too Sammy/Android.

Why do you get more for cheaper at Rally’s, Checkers, and Taco Bell than you do at Shake Shack, 5 Guys, In-N-Out, and Chipotle?
