This gotta be a joke android users get a fast charger free out of the box and and this money hungry campany called apple decides to charge 85$ for this? its bad enough the iphone x costs 1000$ and apple doesn't even give us choices for freebees when purchasing the phones like samsung does with their choices of gear 360 camera or free sd card and wireless charger. its time to jump ship to the note 8!
Be happy Apple gives you a box. Could you imagine if Apple joined the Grocery merchants and had you bring your own grocery bag to bag the phone on purchase. The nerve of Apple.

My S8 plus came with a fast charger in the box. Works well too. Also threw in a wireless charging plate.

Getting the most out of the product required no additional investment from me.

Apple is doing really strange things that have nothing to do with the offering the best product or experience. Instead their focus has shifted to odd design decisions to get more money out of the customer.

Samsung “give away” is the opposite of “Apple tax”. I can charge with the Lightning cable and be fine with it. Not buying fast charger nor wireless charger for my new 8+. Getting the “most” out of the product easily is why I buy iOS vs others.

Why do people think that Apple owes something to them? Apple clearly outlines what’s included in the box, yet people are looking for extras.

My internet provider give me a modem that supports upto 300Mbps, but they only enabled 100Mbps for the price I pay. Should I rant and demand that they give me 300Mbps?

The better question is why doesnt Samsung have lines waiting outside retail stores to get these freebies....

because these freebees are not available for free in these retail stores except if you buy a samsung phone at bestbuy, they will give you the choice of picking what you want for free once you get the phone otherwise you can get your free items through samsungs site, or if you buy the phone on a carrier. you claim the free items through samsung's site as well!

Hey, but at least Apple packs in headphones with a dongle! Google and LG didn't even give me headphones. Apple and Samsung do. But fast charger? Oh yeah and it's FAST! Specifically the LG one. Second best fast charger is from Samsung.

Fast chargers -
LG
Samsung
Google

Another $85 towards Apple and the X will still charge the slowest.

Not sure why you are complaining. If you can cough up +$1000 for a phone, you could surely dish out an additional $85 for a charger. 😉

Guess what Android users don’t get.

Hundreds of high rent physical stores around the world, staffed to the brim, where they can get hardware and software support.

How do you think Apple pays for that?

It’s an incentive to get you to buy a phone that’s taking up space in the warehouses. Apple can’t make enough iPhone X to meet demand.

I don’t get the obsession with ‘fast charging’ and the accompanying ‘entitlement’ drama. I don’t care how fast my phone charges. I charge it overnight when I sleep and that charge easily lasts all day. #meh

Same. My phone sits on a charger all night and while I'm at work (desk job). I have to work hard for my phone to get under 93%.

I guess the same apply's for samsungs newest flagship phones like the note 8, They always give you freebees with each new release. would be nice to see apple look out for their loyal fans!

You seem to know a lot more about Samsung phones than you do about iPhones. My iPhone X lasts all day. I charge it over night and in the car. I haven't even needed to use the cheap fast charger I bought on Amazon.

They might if you work on improving your grammar and punctuation.🙄

I guess the same applies to Samsung's newest flagship phones, such as the Note 8.

I trust Apple knows marketing. If Sammy feels they need to give the fast charger to sell their phone, more power to them.
