This gotta be a joke android users get a fast charger free out of the box and and this money hungry campany called apple decides to charge 85$ for this? its bad enough the iphone x costs 1000$ and apple doesn't even give us choices for freebees when purchasing the phones like samsung does with their choices of gear 360 camera or free sd card and wireless charger. its time to jump ship to the note 8!

None of it is free. Samsung incorporated the cost of the included items into the cost of the phone.

A business that gave products away that cost them money (on a mass scale) may not be in business for long.

Buying a car does not entitle one to fancy non-standard wheels and rims for free. Buying a new house does not automatically entitle one to non-standard items such as a pool, jacuzzi, and security monitoring for free. And buying an iPhone does not entitle one to premium accessories for free, especially at Apple's expense.

This entitlement philosophy is a cancer upon our society.

I haven't twisted anything. I haver stated business reality. It is your entitlement mindset that prevents you from seeing the truth for what it is. if Samsung is going to give away something and reduce margins, why not just sell the S8 (or whatever model) for $220 less? what if i am broke and do not want a fast charger, can i get an additional $30 off?

it seems you have answered your own question here... Samsung either is forced to give product away for free (e.g. lack of differentiation as mentioned above), or they are unable to move inventory and thus give products for free. if they were ambivalent about maintaining phone margins, then the retail price can easily be reduced from $930

Check out Anker's 29W or higher USB PD chargers. I think the cable has to be the Apple branded USB-C to lightning for fast charging to work.
