How about useful integration of, oh, you know...Dropbox...Evernote...

Hell, webOS has more native integration of services than iOS!

Flickr is as "social" as you want it to be. I use it a way to upload my photos at full image quality and then reference in other places... or use it as an easy-to-find/share online photography portfolio. I do very little socializing within the community.

My fear is that, in the end, all native apps will end up with one button only: "Share" - and even worse, Apple could go the same way with their MacOS.
Oh well, I'll have to purchase pro apps elsewhere then, to - you know - get some WORK done :)

I thought Flickr was a photo repository. Go figure. Anyway, I'm happy for the Flickr support.

Like it or not, features parity or not, Dropbox competes with Apple's own iCloud service.

Which is why Apple should not make that call in the first place. Just let iOS be a neutral OS as much as possible when it comes to third-party apps and integration. If Apple intends to cherry-pick only those services it likes while leaving the rest locked out, iOS is never going to be competitive anymore.

Hey I use that... newstand on the other hand...

Hey I use that, too... And Passbook...

Yeah. And those of us who don't use the services don't need to see them on our devices.

If you don't install the apps, you won't see them. If you turn off the share sheet for them on Notification Center, you won't see them. If you don't sign into the service in iOS Settings, you won't see them.

Why doesn't Apple just create a services API that allows any service to create a deeper integration with iDevices. This way Apple's not responsible for integrating such services, the services are.

You mean copy a good feature from Android?
No Apple is all about absolute control and using integration with the OS as a bargaining tool with 3rd parties.

Vimeo is to Youtube as Thunderbolt is to USB 3.0 or Firewire is to USB 2.0...sure it may be better in some ways but nobody uses it

Not as many as youtube but loads of people use it. Why does it matter if it has a smaller user base?

The quality is better and the UI is nice IMO. If you are only sharing with friends then it doesn't really matter what service you use.

If you are aiming to go viral and haven't already done so on Youtube your content probably isn't good enough or you haven't marketed yourself very well.

:p. at what point will Apple be just like any other company...?

Their motto is slipping.

There may be Facebook intergration already, but just wait a few years.. Befre you know it it will soon be "just another social networking phone"

More social networking integration - WOW - how exciting.

Is that where the average IQ of iOS users exists - social networking?

Nice for those who use these services, but I really do hope there is more to iOS 7 than that!

You know the creative wheels are slowing, over at Apple, when the only moves they've made in the last 3 releases are horizontal.

The dumbing-down of iOS and Mac OS continues unabated - is that truly what people are spending all their money on Apple products for -

social networking?

What integration would you like to see? I was impressed with the integration they already had with iWork.

Hmm...

All I can say about this is: No Google+? If Google+ was integrated, it could gain users pretty quickly. I can see one reason why Apple wouldn't put in Google+ integration, given the Apple-Google relationship…

Much like many other people on this thread, I will say this: I hope this is not the "innovation" that Apple will have in iOS 7. What's going on? Apple could take ideas from the jailbreak community (or even better yet, hire the developers from the JB community) to improve iOS. It's just a thought. :)

What they really need is better youtube integration. I want to see new videos from my subscriptions in the notification center, geez Apple get it right.

Yeah I know, wouldn't it be awesome if cydia were built into every iOS 7 device? Then they wouldn't have to do anything cause it's all been done already by the jailbreak devs.
