Do they typically offer the gift cards for refurb purchases? Could probably get a gift card on the refurb I just bought rather than returning/rebuying.

Nope, they want customers to buy new for max. margins.

That's what I figured. I noticed when I bought my refurb that there was also no option to go through the Apple Giveback process - have to go to the store and get a giftcard and go home and enter the PIN, or else just send it in as a separate deal and wait for them to mail you a gift card.

"The Apple shopping event. We're raising the prices for one day only."

I suggest changing the company name.

Sekai-ichi Apple. (costs $21 in Japan, they are washed with honey by hand)

Densuki Watermelon ($121 each)

I would love to get a new MBP and iPhone, but the prices are quite high.

Instead I'm going with my grandmother's advice about everything:

Make it do. Wear it out. Use it up. Do without.

Apple is basically known for NOT giving BF deals. This def indicates that they are struggling. Please spare a few $ for Timmy this Christmas season.

If you had read the article you’d know:
  • Apple is unlikely to offer much in the way of discounts this year
  • Apple has never offered any significant discounts in the past this time of year
  • Apple holds special shopping events every year around this time
  • There is no difference between this year and any other year

With all the major carriers offering some sort of bogo offers on the phones, why would one shop at the apple store for a new iPhone? Are those deals honored when purchasing in an Apple Store?

They can discount their 2018 model computers but I will not buy until they fix the problems.

I'm hoping that they replace the T2 in the 2018 models with a T3 in 2019 and that the T3 will address the issues with the T2.

I'm also hoping they go back to a reliable thicker keyboard in the laptops but I'm doubtful that will ever happen.
