Apple is basically known for NOT giving BF deals. This def indicates that they are struggling. Please spare a few $ for Timmy this Christmas season.
You seem to be assuming there will be actual deals. They’ve had BF sales every year that I can remember. Rarely has any of the sales offers been better than what a third party store has offered. Some years are a little better than others. The last few years have been pretty minor.

Wondering if it's US exclusive.

Not exclusive to the US. Every country I know of had it last year as well.

I'd be fine with a gift card for the mac mini so I could use it for the keyboard/mouse. Stupid to keep people waiting. They should let people know beforehand...

Same plan here :) Fingers crossed.

I have been a Apple owner since before the Mac (1984). While it is a premium brand, the value of electronics drops rapidly. I really hate that they have raised their prices. I am afraid Apple has done the stockholders a disservice this time. Of course they have people much smarter than I determining these things, but I have been around longer than they have. I realize they make a lot of money per device as soon as R&D is paid off, but come on. Current pricing is outrageous. If I am "thinking differently", then perhaps they should also. Older people want a smaller phone, not a larger one. A Larger Screen computer with a standard keyboard that works - not a 12" MacBook with a keyboard that is broken out of the box. The iOS file system is a joke - Even I have trouble navigating it. I hope I am wrong and not continue to wish I had sold my single largest stock holding a short while ago. This business of increasing prices in a market that is price sensitive is for the birds. Also, there is no room for engineering and manufacturing mistakes - the customer is not forgiving . . . he goes elsewhere.

That blew my mind I was about to pay for it to replace my dads 5 year old iMac. Then the guy was like you need to spend $150 for the mouse and keyboard. I was like no I don’t want it any more!!

If you want a good deal, checkout amazon.com's fire brand of electronics specials on BF-cybermonday instead. Youll be able to buy your whole family electronics for the price of one crippled iPad.

Apples sales will certainly disappoint again this year. Not holding my breath.

Edit: Microsoft is supposed to have a decent sale as well

Actually, I don't think they do. Have you looked at a chart of Apple's stock over the last couple of weeks? :)

It’s a MSRP bonanza!

I’m guessing they will be pushing vanilla iPads and series 3 watches.

I remember Apple offering gift cards one day a year around BF, but don't recall it being a multi-day event, or am I mistaken? At least in Canada.
I too remember it being just a one day, 24 hour event.

For sure it’s hard to have the best Holiday Quarter and beat last years all the time. Perhaps that is why they expanded it.

I wonder if they'll have a deal on the 2018 MacBook Air, which I just got a few days ago. If so, any chance I could take advantage, with some kind of return/rebuy situation?

It might be something like a $50.00 gift card. The best deals are always from third party vendors like B&H or Microcenter.
