The fact that casual porn consumption is brought up in the comments under pretty much ever Vision Pro-related headline is rather telling. If we aren’t already in hell, we’ll surely be getting there.

I know this is about sales training rumors, and I hate to veer so far from the subject, but I have to say it. Every couple of weeks I think maybe I've judged too harshly and this thing might actually catch on, but then I see a new picture of someone wearing it and I conclude all over again: this is going to be a train-wreck for Apple. It will be a high quality, well organized and funded train-wreck, but a train-wreck just the same.
For sure they will change the design and bring the price down massively generation after generation... I think after a few generations its price will be reasonable and another major Apple device category.

I think this first generation design looks super ridiculous and fragile.

Too bad they weren't smart enough to use the processors on our thousand dollars smart phones to control the vision pro thus making the cost substantially cheaper.

I actually think them mentioning anything about pricing was a mistake.. especially when it then takes so long to get the product out. They should have teased it without pricing..

My wife and son think I'm completely nuts for somehow wanting one of these. However, I'm suspicious that it'll be a rather expensive occasional use product. Not sure if something like this is going to replace just holding an iPad instead.
well, if all it could do is replacing an iPad ... it's a device imho that you'll have to try out, maybe more than once, and certainly for more than 10 minutes. I sure hope that the Apple Stores are prepared for that ...

They might offer 30 minute demonstrations for serious buyers... probably by appointment...

Thing is, I would imagine a lot of people going along just to try it out, with no intention at all of buying this first gen product.

And I think I'd be a bit annoyed if I was one of those people who was buying, having to wait in line behind a load of people just wanting to try it out without any intention to buy.. especially if there is a crowd etc when you're trying it out.

I think they have to do something special and take precautions for this considering its price point.

The training probably focuses on crowd control! The two people stepping up for training to use the device, all other members of staff trained on crowd control.

this is an entire new computing device, Apple will have to do a lot of "selling and convincing" and it will take years, 99+% of Apple customers will just want to "try it out". I am guessing there will be time slots you're gonna book for the hands-on experience ...

Just 1% of Apple customers will make this a big business. I don’t even want a hands-on experience — maybe just an appointment to get fitted and then receive at home.

Curiously, haven't people gone to jail or been fined for leaking Apple information previously? I don't understand how this 'Gurman' gets away with it.
The “leaks” are orchestrated by Apple’s tutti-fruitti, phoney-baloney, plastic banana, good time rock-n-roll PR. It’s one of the methods Apple uses to build hype and always seem “bleeding edge,” when they are, in fact, strictly regimented and working on multi-year time scales.
