For music, yes. I want to be able to load this thing up with movies for traveling!

That's what I consider a collection. You probably don't plan to watch all 15 at once, they just sit there in case you feel like watching one of them. I'm not saying it's wrong, I was really asking.
I don't know if they could offer an extra 64GB of SSD for only 100$ That would really be a bargain, especially considering Apple usually tries to have a higher profit margin on the expensive models.
I think it would be a more convenient and cheaper solution anyway if they just offered iCloud for movies. I doubt we could see an iTunes match for movies, but streaming your movies rented/purchased on iTunes from your iPad seems reasonable.
More storage for you, cheaper iPad, Apple makes more profit, the film industry gets payed twice, everybody's winning.
As much as I like the design there is no way it will be like this.

The iPad has a black frame for a purpose, you can hold it without accidentally input.
I don't want an iPad (I'm quite happy with laptops), however I'm hoping a new retina display will filter a higher screen resolution at lower price points for the whole mobile computing industry.

I'm wondering here now...how big will Real Racing 2 and Infinity Blade 2 be when they're updated.
Yes, I think it will be:
iPad 2 - 16GB - 399$
iPad 3 - 32GB - 499$
iPad 3 - 64GB - 599$
iPad 3 - 128GB - 699$
Maybe this year the increased competition in the tablet space from Android and the upcoming Windows 8 tablets, will make Apple pack in a shed load of extra features at a reasonable price.

If everything is in there as rumored, proves my personal Apple buying strategy.
NEVER buy the 1st gen of any Apple device (iphone)
MAYBE buy the 2nd or 3rd gen highest model if you need it (3 GS 32 GB)
BUY NEW when the specs are what you wanted in the first place. (Skipped 4 and got 4S)
BUY "OLD" used or refurbished as in 1 generation back, if price gap NEW to OLD is significant.
Always buy Apple care and switch after 3 years is over, so you always have a product in warranty.
Piece of mind and this has worked for me since learning what not to do 1984

No..buy whenever you want... and remember to sell you old stuff... All my Apple stuff 'only' lost about 20-25% a year in resale. Why deny yourself stuff for 3 years?!
Iphone 1 was still awesome - didn't care about 3g then as was a battery sap and well there was little reason - no app store. Even now I am on Wifi 90% of the time.

About time... it's been a long wait, lots of crazy rumors... I'll bet most of us are already tired of waiting for it... but keep on waiting.
This time I'm buying in advance, I'm not going to wait forever for stock to be available. And forget about waiting in line overnight or early AM!

Understand that some people like to be in Front of technology, others prefer to be closer to the Rear, Butt or whatever you want to call it. Those may be the ones who would still buy a PowerPC Mac for a purpose other than decoration. Oh well, that's their choice.

yes and no. They do sell the 4 still, but isn't it only available in one size now? I would think they will probably keep a 16 or 32 GB 2 going, but they will still need to unload the rest of the inventory.
i agree more than likely apple won't implement this. but never say never.
Imagine apple put a sensor (similar to the Proximity sensor on the iphone) in which when you go to hold the Ipad the edges of the screen turn dark bezel just arouns the edges give the the thinking that the user is holding it on the bezel and once hand off the bezel goes to show that lovely retina display in all its glory

That's just a mockup. the iPad needs that frame around it. There's not way to properly hold it without messing it up. But wait, there surely be someone who will make it like this, and later FACEPALM!
