Just out of curiosity, what's starting to fail on it? I have a mid=2012 and perhaps I should start worrying...

Ive had to replace the trackpad twice. the battery is shot (understandably), have had the original HDD fail (has since been upgraded to ssd), and doesn't have a lot of features that I could use with my iPhone
