Bundling of services people don’t want. As opposed to making the services more attractive. Sure that’ll fix it. Who in the right mind would pay for News or TV+?
Sorry, but I would and DO. Actually I'm getting a free ride on TV+ because I bought an iPhone last year, but I would pay for it regardless and when my first free year is up, for 5 bucks a month, I'm ON.

Don't fully understand the anti-Apple News+ either. WSJ news, LA times and a host of magazines to scan plus a lot more for only 10 bucks a month. "The New Yorker" alone is almost worth the 10 bucks verses subscribing to the magazine. A whole host of magazines to scan.

My main pet pieve re News+ plus is the tease articles from the Washington Post that are only fully a available with a subscription.

The biggest problem with News+ is that it's very easy to spend too much time with all the content. I'm curious as to what could make the News+ more attractive unless it would cost less than 10 bucks or be free.

News subscription would be worth it, if it was actual paid content. You are essentially paying them a monthly fee to not have to google the headline of an attractive paid headline to read it. Any pay headline can be searched in browser and read for free.

I suspect people are confusing their desire for news and the quality of Apple News+. As a service it is an exceptional value for someone who values good journalism and chooses not to read free clickbait. The app execution is good also.

From an article on MacWorld... suggesting an "all in" price of $25/month, including a 2TB iCloud storage level.

Let’s start with the Music and TV+ bundle. Apple already gives away a free year of TV+, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see an entertainment bundle priced at $12 a month, representing a $3 savings. The next tier with Apple Arcade could cost $15 for a $5 savings, which essentially gives you a service (either Apple TV+ or Arcade) for free.

If you add Apple News+, I’d guess you’re going to be paying around $20 a month, a savings of $10 over the cost of all four services. And the final tier with 2TB of iCloud storage would set you back $25 a month, which would represent a significant $15 monthly savings over buying each service separately.

That would be extremely enticing. I already pay $3 a month for 200GB of iCloud storage and $10 a month for Apple Music, and once my free period runs out, I’ll be adding Apple TV+, bringing my monthly Apple services total to $18 a month. A $25 plan that ups my storage by a factor of 10 and brings Apple Arcade and Apple News+ for $7 more a month would be too good to pass up.

It will happen with time. Services are a major part of Apple's future, so I think we can expect heavy investment from them into these services, especially Apple TV+. Apple Music is fine and they have "everything".

The outlier is Apple News+ (I have it and don't use it enough) I think they may have to tweak it, all the big newspapers and magazines make more on their own subscriptions, so maybe Apple needs it to cost more to get those Bloombergs of the world. Probably won't happen, since Apple is an everyman company.

It's also going to be interesting to see how Apple Fitness fits within the subscription.

Yeah, Apple screwed the pooch with News+. As a long time subscriber to Texture, I had really high hopes for News+... but Apple managed to destroy the interface — most of the magazines are just print images with no hypertext or links... and the content is less than Texture had... the pricing must have scared some off. Darn shame.

I have some hope for TV+, and the idea for a Fitness service seems plausible... time will tell.

the Apple Music and Apple TV+ bundle offer with a good pricing is a great deal.

Exactly. I’m subscribing to these two anyway so very interested in this. (I already got discount on Music on annual subscription though).

Put iCloud in there as well and it will be a no brainer.

If Apple News+ gave me access to a bunch of quality newspapers, I would be all over it. Unfortunately it’s 99% magazines. WSJ is the only relevant (to me) publication in their list. And it’s not like I can then browse is like the real paper. Instead it’s a selection of articles sprinkled throughout.

Give me NYT, WSJ, and FT; all the articles and sections in a logical layout, and I will happily pay $10/month or $15/month for family. Truth be told, I would probably be willing to pay more than that.

I would seriously consider an Apple Music, News and TV bundle. I’m getting to the point where I’m sick of Spotify and their strong push on Podcast which I have no interest in (I prefer using overcast), so I would happily deal with Apple Music, even though it has its own issues.

A bundle by definition includes things you don't want. That's just the way it is.

Apple One: $99/mon
Includes:
- iPhone
- iCloud 1 TB
- Apple Music
- Apple TV+
- Apple News+
- Apple Arcade
- Apple Fitness
- Netflix
- Hulu
- HBO Max
- Starz
- Showtime

Roughly $150 value for $99.

If a tier only saves me $2 a month, that isn’t much incentive for me to bundle up.
I will if I use it all, but you know they will put the crap in every bundle. I just want Music and Cloud and maybe Arcade if the bundle saves enough. But not News or TV
